Re: Because I'm a Poet - A Poetry Thread
Out of respect for your shared woes I wish I could show care
Perhaps something still, though, left to share
A flood that ensued on August day of 22
For any to enjoy and perhaps find better self-truth

I intended them only for myself, finished them all and saved on a shelf...
So many Aries crossing in time, teaching by example how to graciously change my mind...

"Diversion" 8/22/13

Biding times
Ridding crimes
Of thought and perversion
This, my one diversion
You will not read these words
Not when their purpose served
Truth, in them, illusion
Fallacy delusion
Wove in sines,
Chimes, and tines

Taxing thought
Waxing wrought
Waning disdain ‘til grain
Harvest harking from train
First glimpse to take again
'nother chance to find friend
From 'nother life to lend
A hand, to stand, to mend
What's broken
Not spoken

Shooken, shy
Still to try
Through dying door's demise
Salvage damage 'tis wise
Deny recognition
Sulk days with intuition
Owl night affliction
Aflight through perdition
Silent lift
Herald's gift

Given grate-
Fully fate-
Fully gnashing the rift
Jeering, reeling, to sift
For the cliff to undo
New riff to sing unto
Looking back where it's left
Tearing sack that's bereft
Of burden
To worsen

When wishes
Find fishes
Flopping naked under
Rays raising new thunder
Alarms due charms remind
Of scars been left behind
The water's brine inside
That boils blood, confide
Shamed ashes
Graced passes

"Fanicful" 8/22/13

An age asking, answer
By bees busy, banter
Caterpillars, crawling
Days dawning, doodling
Eve's erosion, ever
Facing fear, forever
Giving gifts, garroting
Hell, Heaven, heralding
Idioms, irately
Jabbing jaws, jestfully
Knighting knaves, King's kingdom
Left lacking love, loathsome
Months meeting me, making
Night now null, new nearing
Opine orphaned, onward
Pressing patience, pen poured
Quarrels quaintly, quelled
Resounding rift, rebelled
Search sifted sought, say sooth
Teachings taught, taxing truth
Until 'uroboros
Vie veil, vicarious
Water waning, wafty
Xylene, Xerography
Yielding Yage, yes, you
Zombie, zephyr zoned zoo

8/22/13

Why the fuck does he toil
With the chord that he coils?
Each second on aesthetics
Is moment that's pathetic

Does he think job is done well
When what he leaves looking swell
Means I must work more, a bore
To know such a jerk, a chore

To fare silent in ...conn,
Fucking farce of feigned respect
Earned more by an artist-con
Has not work ethic bereft

"It shouldn't matter if I'm
Lying or not", 'tis that what
Your supervisor would chime
If asked, run honest gamut

When seeking my help, a welp
Worthless, wisdom wasted, faced
As fickle failure, swaying kelp
In water, depths feared, gaze aced

As ice, or so will suffice
"How are you?" the next will ask
Be honest, open, or nice
Of three, never the same task

Honestly, you are my in-
Sanity, openly, when
I wish, it's that your mouth's closed
Nicely put, my nerves are hosed

So how 'bout some cordialness
Shoved right the fuck up your ass?
How would that help make you feel?
Less pretended, bit more real?

8/22/13

Forgiveness Indian given
Away from which always striven
Consider it rent, lent, now sent
Through a foot or so of snow went
Through as I fared, having mere care
All is worthwhile, give or take smile
For one moment in winter's wind
For what came next I now rescind
A would be wife I've commit life
Asleep on couch with crackhead louse
I guess it was never enough
I guess you thought it all a bluff
That working through meant it was true
That all of me loved all of you

Abandoned without hope to choke
On promises that had been spoke
Fool me once, the shame is on you
Another chance, I gave a fool
Then drinking friend, oh, right, I see
Sure, drive again, my anxiety
Means nothing to you two, too, so
Have your go, the girls will not know
While you're fucking about, my
Worries for self on shelf do lie
Then when you fail a shelter's rule
You stand alone, say I'm a ghoul
For not sticking up for a whore
Cheating on me, settling her score?

Shame on me, penultimately
To think a house bought earnestly
As a memory held fondly
Could shed frustration finally
Everyone's something tired be
You told me, yet I did not see
Oh, right - kissing by fire, say
You and he fucking in driveway
Is just my imagination
Must be a hallucination
Imagine this, you wanted out
And it to be my fault, no doubt
Now you have got all you wanted
My love for you ever shunted

There, some jaws
I knew that would yap
Not wanting to understand
Wanting only to trap

To manipulate self-healing
To their own projected desires
To want to be hearing
The flames of their own fires

Some jaws do yap, some beasts do trap
Misery loves company after a fitful nap
There are no victims only volunteers
Those who live to feed tarnished tears

Who wants to hear flames of fire
Snap crackling ash of another's desire
Thick fetid smoke or cool clear air
The choice is yours as you pace your lair

bxmac - smile
i guess this is my poem after a full odd enough day. can't help that my spirit tells me to love anyway...

JIMINY!
pinnocio has kindly come to town
jonah remembers how to row
and the winds blow down around
our ankles
so that we in kind forget
never mind the net
rope walker
it's the fool who takes the bet
yet genuine treasure
most often emerges wet
ok then lay the carpet down
be it colored as you choose
decide upon the target
let your cannons loose
i gave up all rights of fret
shit ginny tied her own noose
so the seeds we plant and bleed
become their own kind of fruit.

good-night.

Keep doing what you're doing, Octubre. From this perch, all looks well indeed.

When darts do fly with poisoned tip
Wear life the garment with a loose, fit

Teflon, sister. Roll away the stone and let it slide.

Can never love too much.

As always, the very best to you.

Love the banter, folks! :::)))

Haha.

Wrote this today...

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The time she came to see me
Heated quickly
Frosted shadows that were warmed to
The invisible -
We believed in their omniscience
Never wavered
In the flexing pull of our ceremonious
Maw of wild Fahrenheit.
This construction overtook the crush
Pouring hot coals
Into a towering outlying of abrupt masonry -
Drawing in our atmospheres
Hissing steam & sultry climes,
Aligned beneath the constellations
Where the words were thirstily uttered.
(And where our lips had never shuttered)
The rawness of his passion
On her wiser timetable grew
Leading further in the startling adventure
They created on that icy April night.

visit to the funeral parlor

it dawns on me
at exactly four-twenty
that it is high time for me to be waking up
austin blinks with zion
and drinks from the bitter-sweet cup
JC is there, a formal affair
professional heart bleeds all over his chair
while mr. and mrs. doctor roam
the room, soft kind beats
boom bee boom bee boom
and i cross and uncross my feet
all safely booted with david's son
hey, wasn't that solomon? harley's brother?
ok then, i am good, one way or another
blue scarf waisted
with velveted top encasement
for the skin mine spirit still be living in
oh jah jah be my delight
leelannee IS the blessing
how sweet she carries the light
the daughter's faithful banner
with all colors making white
ashland is a wise man
with senses more real
than most jedi warriors
living the poet's ordeal
and oh i have come to see the beekeeper
for the queen lies beaded in prayer
and oh how the angels so holy
make known their presence here

Re: Because I'm a Poet - A Poetry Thread
A semi-dark night of a semi-charmed life

First night
No fright
Might eye
Scry tonight
New dream, sight
Of stage new, delight
Recurring alley of doors
No ghosts, no whores
To settle with scores
No worry, no gores
Same as before
No beginning
Middle waning
Unto the same
Freeze frame
What's your name?
Not the same
Every ending
Never the same
Be it one from before
Having never found my door?
Or will something carry in
To know where to begin
To face the fear of secrets
With faith to make revolving
Be it pinball, 8-ball, roulette's
Wheel, faith in fate evolving,
Resolving, resigning deep within
To place in self its worth
Measured not by others' sin,
Suffering endured since birth
Simple stories to let out
To live out once again
Without mirror, without pout
Of reflected blame and pain
No meaning nor reason attribute
To each, its own, a tribute
To simple lessons learned in time
Of a simple, deserving, rhyming mind

The faerie with wings
The snake-charmer of dreams
Filled with fret, once beset
Before in an age-settled score

Running around in rings
To all else it seems
Ripping chords met, ever wet
With the tears that often pour

With a sister or a mother

For a father or a brother

The dragon with fire breath
So hardened aginst to confess
Of secrets kept, for, never wept
Now reeling for the price

Of a wager in an od-meth
That seems at times a mess
Through the roles reversed, inept
To open eye with tears of ice

Donkey hit his head three hard times
His mule-headed brother didn't pay the fine
Now donkey and his brother are on the run
They never should have slept with that drunken nun

Sister Fidelis used to shine with booze
But a night with the donkeys left her feeling used
Mean Mother Superior send her on her way
Every kicking choice has a price to pay

She saw a demon sitting in a walk-in clinic
I said excuse me but I'm a life-long cynic
She said the demon grunted and clenched its teeth
I said it's dodgy judging what lies beneath

She said she held the gift of discernment
I said with Christains like you I'll stay a hermit
She said you must have a demon if you don't agree
I said I like bananas but don't swing from a tree

Stop projecting your own malicious ways onto good-hearted people.

Numerous people on this site have witnessed Angie's and I's discourses since April.

If you believe she would be that dissociated from the truth, it is a projection of your own sickness and I am a very able and willing mirror.

You want to go further into the hole than you already are? All you have to do is continue to interact and associate with Angie and I. You won't be able to differentiate between the two of us. Sounds like fun, yes?

The poem I wrote is about my daughters, and Angie knows that. I wrote it to clear her memory in regard to associations with them, which is probably fractured by the likes of you wanting to hold onto a connection that is no longer yours to bleed the life from.

Please get help.

I'm sorry for what has to be said
At times within the threads
At within, a friend and I oft traded
Lifting rhymes, through troubling times we waded

I don't know he or she
Who has delusions about me
I wish it would prefer to just go
And only interact with whom it knows

And not mask itself as my friend
To bring her and I into an unwitting end

feels some obligation, having mover her in, boys and all
didn't work out he said, a brief lesson regarding the bed
and all the crazy little circles running around in her head

now grace lives at the housing get-up
just a four-wheel-drive gallop away
she knows he's set the boundary down
but you know grace, she calls anyway!

want to go walking around
want to go stomping stomping
stomping straight through town
want to check out the lines of sky and roof top
where nothing tries to hide
want to simmer down with me
say? drink from the silver pot

and breathe the steam too hot
for icicles and snow-ladies gloves
slippery spots or room to shove-
EL out of the way, hey

want to go looking, go looking with me

just don't mis-bite and eat me
want to angle and re-angle three
mirrors of childhood mine
still kept ever close to me
night time vital signs
maybe it is time that i ask of thee
what all from my mirrors, one two three
have you seen and how best to address the reflecting ?

Put me in a haze
The railroad tracks call
To stall the angling

And the mangling

My own choices dangling

Ever in my way
So, fuck it, I'll say

I've years now entertained thought
Into such a trek with solitude, psyche,
Walking hand-in-hand with another caught

so there once was written
The Story of King Arthur and His Court
alfred, lord tennyson
Idylls of the King
her 1939 copyrighted copy
is illustrated by robert ball
she keeps it with her other cool books
red emma, plato, and poems of sandberg-carl
sometimes she reads them willy-nilly
yet always led to do so
open book and take a look and learn if you willy-willy
early to bed girl
before closing your eyes
feel the story straight from your poetry mind
no finer design has come before
brought to the words on page 44

"And he that bore
The start, when mounted, cried from o'er the bridge,
"A kitchen-knave, and sent in scorn of me!
Such fight not I, but answer scorn with scorn.
For this were shame to do him further wrong
Than set him on his feet, and take his horse
And arms, and so return him to the King.
Come, therefore, leave thy lady lightly, knave
Avoid: for it beseemeth not a knave
To ride with such a lady.'"

say no more, child, say no more.

Poor brooding Arthur gets thrown everywhere
Like a one-eyed rag doll he flies through the air
EB White wrote the Once and Future King
Only a Lance could make Gweny sing

There's a reason we drag Arthur over our floors
Down dark corridors and through tight-hinged doors
A weak light that flickered then burst into sun
Keeps ever-present hope of our lives lived as one

upon sweet occasion

i typed in alternative living.
i got him.
not his name
but his idea.
we managed to say hello.
every day now.
we choose to say it.
to each other.
and on sweet occasion
we meet.
greeting the morning
together times three.
each morning he is knowing me
like the eve before.
coming to the depths of me
along the nearing shore.
my sounds become like the water
streaming time away.
precious is my mother
rocking places for to stay
my hands.
arching gateway bridges
a portal
from where he stands.
to the place of no description of mine.
except love.
and it's elemental grip;
slipping under stone
and tongue.
i will bleed of you the tone
of songs to be sung.
i will need of you
to be the only one
to hear me and receive me
when the cycle is done;
to begin me again
with life within
the lips and pages
where passion must raise itself
higher
than desire
can fashion.
but i know where all this goes.
the emptiness that holds us
will fold us
and remind us of what it's told us
time and time again.
there is nothing.
nothing.
but love.

The queries,
The answers in rhyme,
The banters

Sometimes scurried and
Worried, bland
Hopes for friendship end
Today, send

Thanks or regrets, quite
Care-free I
Within day of dreams
Harking way

Of a book, pages
In ages
Of self-expression
In kerux
