Sparklers/Bottle Rockets By Electric Koolaid
It's as if God lit this fuse Blasting red-hues Conceived in a twisted yarn, Burning white like ebony In a slow-consume; Casting strobed shadows, A long caterwaul of silhouettes Ebbing in the dark light; Trapped in their descent The ash slowly builds beneath it, Life burning away moment-by-moment As one sun sets, a sunrise begins Elsewhere Just as the fuse reaches critical mass And the firework lights Making its way into the Heavens Exploding into all its glorious intent.
