was this obe/astral projection. Obe general.
Anyone who can answer or share their experiences thanks!
hf

I randomly woke up at 2 am and stayed up for an hour before trying to go back to sleep. I was just laying there in my bed then I was suddenly in my bathtub which was filled with lukewarm water. I was so confused because I could still feel my body in my bed and knew where it was but yet I wasn't there. I couldn't move and after a few minutes of willing myself with all my might I sat up. To my shock there was a man's face pressed against my forehead and I freaked out panicking, leaning over the side of the tub to calm myself. After I calmed myself I got out of the tub and had a clue what was going on. I decided to try and run through my closed door to test out and I went right through. My room was grey and boring. Things that made it my room were no longer there, no posters and nic knacks, just my desk and bed.
I quickly became bored and wanted to go see a friend, I went to my wall getting ready to go through it to the outside and stopped. I was on the second floor and didn't know how to fly. As I was debating how to go about this I woke up.
Lol.
I can't tell if this was a lucid dream or obe. I've had lucid dreams and this felt nothing like it.

Semantics. Depends on your level of awareness of the experience. I have had several experiences, never ending up in a bathtub lol but that doesn't mean it cant happen.

I have "went thru" doors, screens and windows. It feels different to your face. Usually also I am aware of the moment I try to separate from my body. Sometimes I am spinning lazily like a clock face. Sometimes I am aware enough to tell myself to stand up or at least slide off the bed to be able to crawl thru or out the door depending on if it is open.

If you actually look into the wood of a door for instance, you might see representations of the atoms that make up the door. In my case once, it was a matrix stream of green numbers but not only 1 and 0. If it is a lucid dream, perhaps the next scene might not be quite accurate such as in my case once, I went into my dining room, the light was on and I could smell garlic toast cooking. I knew it was a dream because I remembered it was the middle of the night and all lights were off.

I would just be glad for all experiences, because even in inane ones, I learned how to give myself commands which helped me with movement and navigation. Saying things like, "more vision" will help you see and something like "stand up" will help you move away from your physical body which is necessary. Also if you find yourself in a flying situation, I navigate as if I was swimming. Pushing arms downs makes u go up and vice versa. Good luck and have fun!

Yes, it was a lucid dream and OBE. Accepted by science, they are really the same thing (Dr. Stephen Laberge). The only difference are how you get in.

Generally, the term lucid dream means any dream in which you know you're dreaming. What people popularly call OBE's are considered to be the most vivid and often involve what you think is actually your room and body to be in a supernatural or super-able state. Your dream qualifies on both levels. Congratulations.

Sounds like it to me based on your description!

From what I'm reading on this subject matter it's not uncommon for there to be a type of 'mind split' effect where you simultaneously have sensory awareness of two locations at once (where your physical body remains and where an element of your consciousness drifts off to).

Yes, this is common and also documented. It's happened to me personally, many times. In my own experience, before I am completely grounded into a dream, I will often be aware of my physical body and the sensation of laying on my right side, or however I am laying. Although the body must be into or past SP (sleep paralysis) to enter dreams, the awareness is not supposed to be restricted in this manner.
