How many crimes have been committed with 50 cal or larger ammo.

This is not to stop crime, it's to make sure the government has armor that cannot be penetrated by civilian rounds.

California banned them long ago, so Barret came up with the .416, which actually has better ballistics than the .50 caliber.

If I had $10-$12K laying around I would snatch one up. The ammo for them was $3.50 a round last I looked. Even reloading them is expensive

12 gauge, 20 gauge, 16 gauge, 10 gauge shotguns are all over .50 cal and they have been used in crimes

that being said .50 cal ban is ridiculous anyway

I dont give a fuck what law they pass on guns, it isnt constitutional and you dont get to tell me what i can have either, while you arm the mexican drug cartel with fully automatic rifles! GO fuck yourself.

Politicians look forward to the days when they are wearing targets on their back every where they go. They are trying to ban the gun that can take them out from a mile or more away.

With legislation like this, those days will probably be coming sooner that later.

caliber isn't the problem unless you are an elected official, as it offers possible escape after a long distance kill, making the weapon atractive to others who wouldn't get away with it if they were closer.


they don't have the balls to introduce legislation to free civilians from being shot so they pass a law that helps only them and expect to be praised for it.

Just to clarify, it's not 12,000 ft/lbs of power, it's 12,000 ft/lbs of ENERGY. As in mass x velocity. It would be power if it were that divided by a unit of time.
