Saudi Coronavirus work stymied at Canadian lab

The National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg is working with a sample of the new coronavirus that’s causing clusters of infections abroad — but can't share the material with other researchers across the country despite the public health urgency. 

I am deeply saddened that someone could be as calous as current events appear to be unfolding with this issue that pointed to St Lukes.

Also, I am considerably embarrassed that I have been responsible for starting a threard that ultimately promoted something that has needlessly caused stress and grave concern amongst so many people.

To everyone that has followed this news of that hospital in New York, I offer you all my unreserved and most deeply felt sincere apology for my part in this fiasco.

Whomever started this is deserving condemnation of the highest form for their inhumane and thoughtless actions.

I do have some reason to believe that there could be some dark influence at work here being directed towards social media in an attempt to disscredit it as a credible news source.

In this case it has probably done some damage, which is a huge shame as social media is the emerging and new way that the world is adopting to inform and learn of what is (supposed to be) happening in the world around us.

Inevidibly there will be those who dont cope well with change and of those there will be some who will act to bring into dissrepute this medium of information sharing.

As far as information on the MERS-cov goes, it does indeed continue to cause concers and it also continues to be spreading out of the Arabian Peninsular.

For those who wish to source information of that topic along with the H7N9 situation that has emerged in China and the ongoing information available on H5N1 avian influenza, then I suggest that your attentions are directed to my other thread, linked to below for current news.

Fortunately we have had very few problems there and all of the posters there have been credible and devoted posters of integrity.

For anyone else who would attempt to cause mischief on that thread, as OP I will immediately ban such posters and without apology, I will always attempt to maintain the excellent quality of information that it has a history of presenting.

Again I profoundly apolagise for my part in this unsavory affair.

The original emergence of the novel coronavirus , now called MERS-cov in Saud Arabia as everyone thinks of it actually emerged in Jordan in April of 2012.

Right from the very first reports of this emergenge it was surrounded by controversy.

In particular I frequently and openly severely challanged and criticized the Jordanian Minister of Health for the appauling and completely disgusting way that he was handling this matter.

So if you like to go back in time to page 24 , linked below, you will find the very first report on this illness that was identified in Jordan.

It took both myself and Treyfish, another poster of enormous credibility, massive efforts to simply have this MERS-cov recognised as having first been detected in Jordan, which today is the case.

Readers will find a full account of pretty much all that has come to light with this novel coronavirus, including the very political influences that it has been subjected to, in particular from the World Health Organization, whom I and others of far superior credibility than myself, have constantly criticized for delaying reporting and consistently conceiling critical information that has and continues to hinder medical research efforts into this MERS-cov.

Those actions have and again continue to add to the very real risk or actually promoting this coronavirus towards becoming a genuine pandemic menace.

As I have pointed out, all that very important information is containeed in my other thread, and to be practical it really isnt necessary to go all the way back to page 24, unless you wish to read of the initial event, rather simply go back say 5 or 6 pages and readers will get most of the current news of MERS-cov from there.

NY story a fake to draw attention away from silence of China no longer reporting?

Its funny how all of the links to the thread on avianflutalk.com have all disappeared including the one in the latest news section stating the info was fraud. Even the video that was posted on youtube is gone as well
