I don't think your research is to in depth. Maybe crack open some forums and see that there is a ton of Middle East Abductions. They don't have a MUFON in Africa I don't think.

Don't laugh, but the other night I was having an out-of-body experience, and saw an alien-like figure standing nearby. Then it hit me. Maybe all these abductions are people seeing weird shit when they astral project? I dunno, I've never been actually abducted by aliens so I can't say.
All I know is that similar symptoms of going through astral projection (immobility, feeling your limbs move, but you're actually paralyzed, a loud humming in your ear, etc.) are similar to what I hear when people believe they have been abducted.

Just throwing it out there. Has anyone experienced before? Encountering alien-like beings while out of your body? And no, it's different than a dream. your body's totally buzzing and you feel you are leaving your body, you are very lucid.

Yeah for years I've been experimenting with lucid dreaming and astral projecting.I've seen shadows at the foot of my bed in that in between awake/asleep state (hypnopompic/hypnogogic- one you get as you go to sleep, the other as you wake up). I think of dimensions as stations on a radio, and you can tune into different ones depending on what you are being receptive to at the time. I hope I'm not going on a tangent, but back to the aliens, the figure I saw in my about-to-astral-project state was tall, skinny, naked, but no genitals, and had that stereotypical alien head with the big eyes. That's when it hit me that these alien beings people are seeing might just be different dimensional beings. I gotta look more into these Greys you mentioned, I've been hearing that term thrown around a lot, maybe that's what I saw. Thanks!

I've always thought of SP to be a symptom you undergo while leaving the body- that your body was asleep but your mind and energetic body was awake (or soul, if you will, which has senses beyond your physical body). Outside your body you can perceive beings from many dimensions, and yes, some look like the stereotypical alien, others might look like ghosts, others unrecognizable shapes bc you've never encountered them before. It depends on your experience and your paradigms. Sometimes what you expect to see, you will see. Don't be afraid, it's just another experience to learn from. Keep investigating.

No, it's not independent of this world. It's within this world, but you can see other beings that are on the same frequency. Think of it as seeing ghosts. They're here, but not all here. I know it has a fufu new age name, so I'm kinda hesitant to use that terminology because of all the connotations, but it's just like tuning into a different radio frequency. They're all broadcast at the same time, but you just tune in to certain ones and they appear. Is that more clear?

i used to do the astral stuff all the time as a kid, these days the more i try to get an experience the less experiences i have. I had an experience a few months back where i was in bed approaching morning wake up time, it was light in the bedroom and i heard a flapping like a bird (hummingbird? it was buzzing around my head until i got pissed with it and swung for it and hit it, it landed on the bed but not my bed, it was someone elses bedroom the bird brightly coloured was dead on the bed and as i realiised i wasnt at home got panicky then a young boy came into the room so i threw the bird out of view, the lad seemed to know me as if i was a friend sleeping over, then i met the family, and then it got weirder, i was carried by the dad a big dude really big i remember being carried by him through shallow rivers which were dirty and i remember thinking there were dead animals in the water. We arrived at a city it was night time i met many pple adults and kids and they seemed interested in meeting me, then i remember being asked if i wanted to watch the moonlights which i said yes, at this point i thought i was still on earth until we approached a large cliff edge there were a crowd of pple looking into the distance and sum of them turned to me as i approached the edge knowing i wasnt one of them, i looked past the crowd and saw the most amazing sight of my life there was another huge city below with tornados of light roaming over it it was night time and my jaw dropped at the amazing sight, and then i realised i was a long way from home, the kids were laughing knowing i hadnt seen this before then i fell on my knees and started to cry, then i woke up, i was in shock and amazed at the experience for a few weeks after, i struggle with the belief of this being a dream and ive wanted to go back their ever since, maybe one day :) The demon i woke upto sucking my cok recently was so ugly i couldnt work out if it was mle or female and this was the first time that ive communicated with one, i told it to stop with my mind but it laughed and carried on, i bought some moldavite recently which i wear all the time hoping it may help some how, so far it aint worked :)

I actually read Bob's book back in high school (I'm 35 now) and it was one of the things that got me interested in the topic, after I experienced something crazy one night while dreaming. Mind you, I hadn't read about anything like this before, so I had to find out what it was, and then someone pointed me to the literature and it sure fit. I've been experimenting with OBEs ever since, on and off, but sometimes I get sidetracked. Lucid dreaming has also been an interest of mine and I've been able to control my dreams (once I realize I'm dreaming) ever since I was a kid.

Bizarre dream, indeed. What a brave new world you saw then... The sucker demon was just a first exprience with them? What else about demons, why they visit you?

Wonderful, I admire -and envy- your knack or gift ;) I think Monroe was a relatively unknown pioneer, even a sort of genius about brain processes... and extra brain reality.

I wonder if you're able of some sort of communication with another astral voyagers or dwellers...

I heard it's possible, but I've never succeeded. I've always wanted to experiment trying to meet up with someone out of body and see if we can communicate and remember what we said when awake.That would be the ultimate experiment, no? To me, that would be amazing.

Why don't you try to do it, don't be envious, anyone can do it, it just takes practice. Start reading about it and try some of the techniques. Different techniques work for different people, don't give up.
