Re: White House Releases Benghazi Emails
These are basically e-mail with little meat. We knew basically all of this from the talking points that have been talked about for a week plus.

In about the 7th paragraph is starts: From the CIAs original draft, clink the original draft and it gives you all the re-visions. Basically, supports a lot of the e-mails they released. So basically they released nothing new. No real bomb shells IMO.

Except that it confirms that it was people in the State Dept driving almost all the edits and that FBI was already fingering Al-Qaeda and yet that was completely left out.

Re: White House Releases Benghazi Emails
Something I notice right away is the distinct lack of FBI input in this e-mail chain, despite the FBI being the lead investigator.

Basically the only mention of the FBI is on page 56, where it says that the FBI's working theory was that the attack was carried about by Al-Qaeda.

Gee, I wonder why the FBI's e-mails weren't released...

CIA would be in charge because is was not on American soil. Doesn't the FBI mainly deal with issues that happen in country?
 Quoting: Corn Dog

No, FBI was lead.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6297881

The FBI should not have been in the lead because it was not a domestic attack. The CIA was to be in-charge, yet maybe the CIA didn't want to play nice with the administration so they got cut out, then thrown under the bus.

You misunderstand the mission of the FBI.

Yea, there is no way this is anywhere near a full set of e-mails. Like I said the FBI is nowhere to be found even though they were the lead investigative body.

This is a cherry-picked set of e-mails for sure.

I'm still giggling at "fingering"

where is my head???
Here is where I look back.
Here is where you fell.
This is where I got up,
Shaking off my tail
This is where your rope trick
Started to look stale.
A greyhound pass for the boy in the well.

Sensitive But Unclassified/CLOSEHOLD

CLOSEHOLD is maybe for internal use only not to be distributed. USUN is the United States mission to the United Nations. This email was addressed to Susan Rice. That is the thread that needs to be turned over!bump
