What surprises me is that there was no push to raise public awareness that this vote was even coming up. Admittedly, I don't watch the MSM, but this was never even on my "Paultard" radar. I'm happy about it though. Hope we can muster enough grass roots support to get the senate to pass it too - wouldn't THAT be something! Did this make the news? (I don't watch the MSM). Quoting: Inquiring Mind House Passes Legislation to Repeal Health Care Law Washington, May 16 - WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) released the following statement regarding today’s vote on legislation he cosponsored which fully repeals the Obamacare law: “The Administration is carrying out a dangerous experiment on our families, our businesses and the overall economy,” said Posey. “The problem with passing a massive, complicated bill like Obamacare is that it’s almost impossible to understand, let alone implement - a 'train wreck' according to the lead author of the Administration's bill in the Senate. It took me four days to read the House version of the Health Care bill, which essentially empowers unelected bureaucrats to fill in the law’s rules and details. [link to posey.house.gov] it is a fucking train wreck and i sure as hell hope this is true. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. ~ Life is about choices, you get to make them each and every day of your life. ~ Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.~ Only in America... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poloi' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.~ “When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. This is because the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. They have the votes in the House, so campaign to take control of the Senate and the repeal is complete. I know how I will vote, what about everyone else. Neither party can field a viable candidate so make 'repeal Obama Care the platform :yourfired: |

Too bad it will never ever make it through the senate. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39962183 Stymie OWNS the senate. Might make it through the Senate but it'll be vetoed and the veto will never be overriden. Not enough votes. Again...you forget 2014 elections....and people WILL NOT FORGET what is going on right now. SENATORS UP FOR REELECTION IN 2014 [link to www.senate.gov] |

Sadly I agree, but if we could get it to pass the Senate, that would certainly send a message, and I would sure be happy to add this to the list of "troubles" Obama is facing. Inquiring Mind |

My wife lost 20 hours a week and all her benefits thanks to Obamacare. We were doing ok until then. I hate this Obamacare. I will never understand why he did not just expand medicaid to cover people who could not afford insurance. Seems like a really easy solution and required no new laws or government agencies. But then, when does the government ever do the right thing? |
