0311INFANTRYSIR User ID: 969484 United States 05/19/2013 12:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | According to the Obama administration the constitution is an outdated, obsolete and unworkable document. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14819309 Under the previous administration at times the constitution was an inconvenience that required a "work around" Most administrations over the last several decades have either overtly or covertly circumvented the constitution at times because their agendas or policies were in some ways unconstitutional. The war on terror, among other more recent agendas are just an excuse for an already too powerful government to attain even greater power. The constitution has become nothing more than a historical document... Obamacare and the ways it will be implemented and enforced in the future will stand as proof of that, even more so than the war on terror. The only question is, how long will Americans (true Americans) sit and watch the continued erosion of the most basic principles this great nations was built upon? My guess is at least until the day many wake up and realize they no longer have any rights at all, and that the government now has control over every aspect of their lives. We're almost there now... Throughout all of these "circumventions" of the Constitution, not one of them was done for a legitimate reason, like protecting the National Security, or the Safety of American's. It has always been done to further a "political".... offensive and unjust means. It has never been done for the "Good" of anything except certain peoples bank accounts. This MUST CHANGE. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote" ~ Benjamin Franklin. |

Éireann User ID: 13606119 United States 05/19/2013 12:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's all a part of the continuing Israelization of Amerika.....Congress recognizes the 2nd Amendment each election cycle while annulling the other 9 during term. People are more concerned with sports and name brands, logos and the make of their auto than protecting their liberty. They can watch a movie or a football game for hours; and yet, will not take the time to read one book a month. A "christian" nation? I don't think so. We deem mass murder a credible foreign policy. In the purblind South, people imprison grand-ma (nursing home on taxpayer dollars); send their children to a public school (free) and 75% recieve free lunches while, in the same breath, cursing "socialism"; the irony and hypocracy are not lost on me. When people identify themselves with a political party; our enemies have suceeded by divide and conquer. We have failed to support the real team: the american team. Sadly, the criminals in Washington (congress) has exploited the gap and passed draconian/police state measures; which in times of stress will lead to our total enslavement. Noone seems to know or care. Quoting: Elsabiades... 28004059 You are part of the problem. We let the Republic die. All of us. No group or power could have done it without our consent. Your focus on hate won't get us anywhere but exactly where we are right now. Twould be more useful to focus that energy into getting back our Republic and making sure that we never give it up again because of apathy and pass-the-buck blaming. But why are people indifferent or ignorant as to the other 9? They are just as important. Quoting: Elsabiades... 28004059 Yeah but when it comes to communism the only one they understand is amendment 2 Actually, the Second Amendment, as Benjamin Franklin put it " is Second only to the Constitution itself as it is the peoples', liberties, teeth." Without the Second Amendment, "we the people" have no way of upholding or enforcing the other portions of the Constitution. So, yes, I would have to agree, the Second Amendment, as some fail to understand, is the heart of Liberty.
