Just ask Popeye. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40097067 Tru dat. It's a trap! LOL! Yeah, that's right. She's definitely a trap. And I'll bet she sneaks a taste of Wimpy's burger whenever Popeye's not around. |
SHR Forum Administrator 05/19/2013 09:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A 100% success of lobbying by the olive oil industry!!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40097476 Thank you EU! Whats next? Air Tax? People must only breathe approved air in labelled cans considered safe by the EU commissars! Bread and pastry will be next...but don't worry...Eurotrash will Luv "Wonder bread" in EU approved packages with all the correct labels. ____________________________________________________ E-mail anytime [email protected] Inquiring about a ban?, include the IP address found here. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1577797 United States 05/19/2013 10:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Restaurants in the US normally bring you the olive oil in a dish - I don't think I've ever been to one with a bottle on the table. Catsup, mustard, hot sauce yes - but not olive oil. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7570540 You just don't go to the generous places. Maggiano's in Chicago/area and now nationally, brings a bottle (with pouring spout) and leaves it, if you ask. |

phillk6751 User ID: 26062338 United States 05/19/2013 11:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Misleading thread title...did any of you actually read the article? They are just banning the type of container in restraunts to prevent people from tampering (same reason silverware is either only given to table occupants or just all replaced after every occupancy)....its to prevent people from getting others sick and whatnot. What you should really be enraged about is the fact this kills small business competition effectively by this: From article: ..."the choice of a restaurateur to buy olive oil from a small artisan producer or family business will be outlawed" |

I agree there are many more important stuff to do but this is just fine: From next year olive oil "presented at a restaurant table" must be in pre-packaged, factory bottles with a tamper-proof dispensing nozzle and labelling in line with EU industrial standards. why? because greedy restaurant owners mix olive oil with all kind of shit and you never get the real stuff on table. |
