People just feed of fear like it's crack. Quoting: Septenary Man so what dont i know? Go figure it out for yourself. It's better you do that than having someone tell you. That way you can make your own proper decision, instead of basing decisions off of hearsay. |

Maybe your thinking of catholic priests? Shriners. I'm thinking of Shriners. They have to be 33rd degree to join the Shriners and those little cars they drive are just....wrong. It takes a weekend to get the 33nd degree and ANY 3rd degree mason can get it. And it takes 3-6 months to do the first 3 degrees. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1129812 United States 05/20/2013 09:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My best friend since high school recently joined the masons (hes only 23). I noticed a square and compass ring and asked him about it. He joined about a year ago apparently, I just never noticed the ring until now. What should I do? Are masons Illuminati? Quoting: Help 39208671 Leave him alone and quit being a child. Its his decision...NOT YOURS. A true friend is there...period. |

If he's 32nd degree, he can tell you the basics of masonry. Go to some of their dinners, etc. Think outside the box man! Find out for yourself. Become a Mason, if you find it doesn't agree with you, stop being a mason. Things are so simple if you wish them to be. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 865798 United States 05/20/2013 09:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No...it isn't tough at all. 32nd Degree can be achieved in one weekend at their workshops. I know that. But to go from not being a Mason, through the 3 degrees, and then do the 32nd all in one year, is tough. |

Maybe your thinking of catholic priests? Like every exclusive club, it's a means to control. Think about it, the people in the top positions have influence but they are kept in check, this is usually achieved through blackmail. |

I suggest you read a lot more before you diss SM. I have the exact same ring in my house as it belonged to my late father. My dad also had a framed pen and ink drawing of the All Seeing Eye with verses underneath. My grandparents logo for their business was the Pheonix/Two Headed Eagle. |
