......... For you negative leaving mofo's, you want to give me more bad feedback for exposing this guys scam, here I am. I am entitled to my opinion, just like everyone else is......

You have a perfect right to express yourself about whatever you believe to be true but you don't have a right to call us MOFO's because we choose to believe in what "homeless" said..

It is not what you say but how you say it..You sound bitter and angry.
Besides, if we were to lose anything it is no skin off your nose so quit complaining about what we choose to do and take a break if only for your blood pressure.

You seem like the type of person who sees conspiracies, fraud, and nerarious acts of collusion behind every corner. I used to be super skeptical, too. I don't blame you. But if you think I've maintained this thread for a month, when all it netted me was a large cheese pizza, then you, sir, might need some help. Have I wrong peopele in my life? Yes. Those close to me? Sadly, Yes. Have I harmed myself? Most definetely. Have I misrepresented myself in this thread? No

So as of today I am officially homeless.

I won't bore you all with long sob stories.

About a year ago lost my job of twelve years, couldn't find new work, made some bad financial choices, and today I sit in the public library on my old laptop typing away as all my posessions lay in three small suitcases very close to where I am sitting.

I think this might possibly be the worst place to be homless, given the horrible heat.

So I have seventy-five cents to my name, am not sure where I'll be putting my head down to sleep tonight, and was wondering if anyone else out there has been in a similar prediciment.

I'll update my story here as I can. Maybe a few people will find it interesting.

Hope things work out with your ID. It used to be that you could get a birth certificate on anyone. People did it often. Think they're trying to drive people over the brink. Hang in there. hf

Yeah, driving me to the brink for sure.

Your generosity has not been forgotten. As soon as I'm able to, I intend to try to do the same for someone who is in need :)

Hi Mike,
I would like to send you some help..Where do I send it? Is there an address on your blog?

Sorry to ask..I came upon this thread today..I would like to help you with the money needed for your birth certificate.[

u cant goto a shelter in texas unless you pass a drug test

look into it
enjoy

I am drug=free

Shelters from what I hear are always at max occupancy here. I will check around. Thank you
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5574349

To get into a shelter - the secret is to show up EARLY to get a spot - so I hear. And watch your back - people have been assaulted, raped, robbed and beaten in those places once it's lights-out. I hate to be negative, but it's why some people prefer to find their own digs off the beaten path.

THE ULTIMATE HOMELESS JOB THAT MAKES A KILLING IS DRIVING TRUCKS!!!

THE COMPANIES DYING TO FIND DRIVERS AS NO ONE LIKES TO BE AWAY FROM HOME FOR TOO LONG!
THEY PAY FOR YOUR TRAINING PLUS THEY GIVE YOU MONEY UPFRONT TO GET UP ON YOUR FEET!

CALL SOME COMPANIES AND THE ONLY CATCH IS DON'T FALL ASLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL!

FOR ME EATING SUNFLOWER SEEDS WHILE DRIVING LONG DISTANCE WAS THE SOLUTION TO KEEP MY BRAIN AWAKE.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34824834

YES, good advice - and the sunflower seeds, lol - my friend used to do that, his seizure meds made him sleepy on long drives - whatever works!

Re: Homeless in Dallas Texas
In many states you will not qualify for food stamps if you are a single man with no dependents.

---or single / divorced woman, such as virginia apparently...or the spic bitch turned me away in favor of her spic illegal aliens who were getting all kinds of benefits.

In some states you cannot even qualify for unemployment if you have no dependents.

-----i have never heard of this. really? where?

In some states the Salvation Army will not take a homeless man or woman with a boy over the age of 12. (Because sexual perverts can stay at shelters)

---all shelters seem to be FULL these days

In some states battered women shelters are full of illegals and they cannot kick them out because they cannot legally get jobs. So once the cops bring them to a shelter -- they can stay there forever with their kids. Free babysitting, free food....

People who have never been jobless, homeless, etc. really think that there is a lot more available to people than there actually is. Most people believe that there is some kind of "safety net" -- and sometimes there is not.

----there is no safety net. not at all. i don't even understand how people qualify for welfare. i think you have to have kids, which is really stupid.

Yes, there are scammers. Certainly there are. But the huge reality is that for some people -- it is just bad luck. It is not lack of education. It is sometimes bad luck.

or bad health

And that, my friend, believe it or not.....could happen to you too.

God has not abandoned America. God is not punishing America. God loves and blesses America. It hurts Him to see you in this very pitiable state but he must accomplish what He has planned for your country. What you are experiencing right now (sufferings/trials/tribulations) are part of His "sacred purging, cleansing, and purification. "All who pass through its blaze will not emerge the same. All are hammered by sufferings on the anvil of His will." He wants you to realize that material comfort and advance technology only gives you fleeting happiness and pleasure. Your having a world/super power status draws you farther and farther away from Him. These trials are His ways calling you back to Him. You are very precious in His eyes. Turn back from sin.

The suggestion to contact a social worker is good. Go to the dept. of human services office nearest where you are and apply for whatever aid you can qualify for. At least you should get some food stamps, and probably some referral to other help.

If this country is offering food stamps to Mexicans in Mexico, and all sorts of aid to illegals, you might as well step up and get some help after working and paying into the system, not to mention, your family that's worked and paid in for decades.

Salvation Army is also good. They may even have options other than a place to stay.

Worst case scenario, set up on a corner with a sign and take donations.

At this point, with the crappy globalist Marxist government and bankers ruining our nation, people need to get what they can. IMHO.

After O... nothing will ever be good again in this country.

I had already looked into food stamps. I was told I did not qualify. I guess because I am not a pregnant female, a female at all, or a female with kids.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5574349

I do not think they can turn you down immediately... I believe they HAVE to give you benefits for 30-90 days, then they can deny you.

OP, look into a finding a job at a call center. I just got one when times became tough and it's helped a lot simply because its something. The job is shit, to be honest. However, certain people can make you smile and at the end of the day, you're getting money. Most of them hire almost all the time and you don't need loads of experience, which is good for those who lack but are in need of it. It'll be something to hold you over until you can find something better.

Re: Homeless in Dallas Texas
You can ALWAYS get food stamps, unless your income or your assets are too great. The ONLY exception is certain counties in South Carolina, where you have to take a government job if it is offered to you, in addition to or in lieu of food stamps. But that is actually a good thing, isn't it? The counties include Greenville, Richland and Charleston.

As I understand it, you say you are not eligible for food stamps because you are getting unemployment compensation. Is that right?

My next question would be: then why are you homeless if you are getting unemployment compensation? I don't get it. If you can't afford rent in Dallas, get out of there and go to some rural county and get you a trailer.

You can apply for emergency food stamps if you are homeless and without funds, and get the SNAP card within a week.

Best of luck to you, my friend. I have been homeless and know how terrible it feels.
