GOVERNMENT confiscating fiirearms found in destroyed Moore OK tornado area
[link to youtu.be]

I just heard it on the news tonight. You have seen all the law or order in the aftermath of the Oklahoma tornado, right? Everyone is calm and peaceful.

One reporter was at the end of a cul-de-sac interviewing people. He took a few steps toward the neighborhood and that must have triggered a response from the blackwater-style cops sitting on the back of trucks guarding the destroyed homes, because the reporter meekly backed up and chuckled a bit, saying "They are still not letting us anywhere NEAR the houses here as crews work through the debris to find survivors."

In all I have seen ONLY a lot of order and peaceful people.

Then there was a short pre-recorded interview with the same reporter speaking with a girl and she said she and her dad had come back to gather up what little belongings they could find. Yesterday when they left, they got a few things and were back today, escorted. She said, too bad too they could not get more yesterday, because when THEY WENT BACK TODAY, the 2 RIFLES THAT WERE THERE YESTERDAY IN THEIR GUN CABINET HAD BEEN TAKEN. Looted, she said. But there are no looters!!! There are government who-evers, FBI, FEMA, etc. seaching through these homes.

SO there you have it. I posit the GOVERNMENT agencies are collecting/confiscating whatever firearms they find during the searches...and NOT to be returned.

I can guarantee you, they are finding a few because Okies have guns.

I do not have the clip of the girl talking to the reporter, but that You Tube vid I linked is all about government stealing and confiscating guns after Katrina.

There's not been one looter - that is the GOVERNMENT looting.

What is the FBI doing there anyway?

Saw a feed yesterday where some kid had 6-8 rifles and was trudging past the camera. Was wondering what happened to him.

right, I wonder too. If he could find them in all that mess, they were probably his. I wonder what kind of "assistance" a kid carrying his own hunting rifle and his dad's would get.

I don't have a problem with this. Better than leaving them unattended.

I don't know about that - we know what the govt will do with them, certainly not going to reunite them with their owners. The guns are better off in the hands of citizens. Makes me wonder what else the "searchers" are pocketing.

Wow, did not see that.

Well, it figures. And you know if they can work to find the owner, if they were registered. But hey, does the owner have any benefits if he registers his gun?

That's fine so long as they strive to get th firearms back into the hands of their rightful owners ASAP.

Otherwise it is theft.

Open Carry Handgun Law takes effect November 1st...

As of November 1st, the current Oklahoma Self Defense Act (SDA), concealed-carry handgun law, will allow for the “open carry” of handguns.

...update any old signs that say no concealed weapons to “no weapons or firearms allowed on premises” or other terms to that effect.
