Oddly, this fits perfectly with the May 22nd prediction of the Global Coastal Event. The premise was a large 'event' on the sun that, while not necessarily producing a CME, would impact the Earth and cause a tectonic plate crack.

Yeah, I gotta' say - been watching all those sun observation websites for years, and that is one hell of a CME! Also, in that SDO image, it looks like the entire left upper side of the sun is - well, for lack of a better way to put it, really lighting up.

Other backup data sources detected what seems to be an R2 (Moderate) Radio Blackout from a source region near West Limb at Approximately 1323 UTC (9:23 am EDT) today.
