Why Is Facebook Asking For Your Phone Number?

Someone probably reported you to be under a fake name, or a name that isnt your real name. Also. there is a problem with spammers and computer programs creating facebook accounts. So this just assures you are a real person. No big deal man. I would rather have them ask for a phone number than having that place filled with spammers. Hell, I want my phone number out there so my friends can get a hold of me.

Because companies can now spam you through your phone n umber (calls and texts) so FB wants your number so they can SELL your number to the highest bidder.

Just doesnt happen through facebook. They dont sell your information. Hell, my cell, office and home phone have been on facebook for years. I never get any telemarketing calls. I do get telemarketing calls on my little prepaid cell phone that I use to do things like enter contests and stuff. But those dont bother me. I expect it, because I put that number all over the internet. Just not on facebook.

I was just reading through this chain and quickly spotted that NOONE, not one of you, had anything "good" to say to "HELP" other fellow "poster's" here, as well as help us all to screw over facebook for this abominable OUTRAGE.

So, unable to hold my tongue (and my peace), I figured I'd give you all the $10 to $30 solution here...

1. go get a wig, sunglasses, hat and a disguise, because of all the facial recognition software now going about (actually quite rampant in stores like HOME DEPOT among MANY MANY OTHERS), and then bring you in some cash to...

2. Go out and buy a cheapy cell phone, (one of those pay as you go thingy's from walmart or a crickut store), etc.

3. Get their crappy phone, and phone number, and pay with cash, as I said. (If you don't, you might as WELL just be doing all this from your real phone). DUH!!

4. Come home make attempt to login to your facebook account. At the point it asks the FAAKING ENFURIATING message about entering your cell phone, etc., ad infinitum,.... Elect to text them using the capital "F" (without the QUOTES) to their texting number: 32665

( or whatever the FAAAK it is that works for you, 3265, 32655 or any other one that is broadcast over the net like on sites like this),

and wait for 10 seconds for your VERIFICATION code to come in. If it takes longer than 10 seconds, or just doesn't come in, your phone doesn't allow you to send texts to 5 digit TEXT messaging numbers!!!

5. Enter that FAAAKING verification code in to it, and presto, wahlah! you're DONE.

6. Go back to enjoying being "SPIED" upon by facebook and everyone else out there.

7. And finally, Enjoy! (and i'm only kidding about the wig and sunglasses) MAYBE!!!!

This truly worked!

just dont give them ANY information at all, its none of their business and you only need to give your phone number to friends n family...your choice, not theirs.

does it matter? you already told them you name, all your tiny little thoughts, you put hundreds of photos of yourself, your friends, your family on there, you told them who your friends are, you connect to it every few hours to keep it updated, ect ect ect.
