Nice find, OP.

I wonder if the primary reason that the 'hundreds of thousands of dollars needed' which have not yet been raised in the decade since this discovery points to an awareness that the uncovering of its mysteries may prove somewhat problematic for Judeo-Christian affinities.

Otherwise, logic tells me that ANY archaeological discovery in the Sea of Galilee would be considered not only significant, but worthy of the money it would entail.

Also note that as the apex of this structure is only feet below the surface of the water, logic also points to it NOT being buried in sediment. Therefore, parts of this structure MUST be exposed.

My thought is that authorities already have ideas about its origin, so they make excuses, rather than uncover things which will be difficult to explain once the whole world is watching.
