I have not watched Nascar in awhile but I thought it was 43 racers?

When I went to the race 2 years ago, we all just walked in WITH coolers. No one checked us at all!!

About 50 people walked in at the same time.

I said then that they just opened themself up to trouble if they dont change something.

They had people working the gates but they didnt even check our tickets.

It's not NASCAR.

The Indianapolis 500 is with Indy cars, not Nascar, therefore 33 race cars. Indianapolis hosts the Brickyard 400 (Nascar) later this summer.

Something very interesting happened on Friday. I met with some female prayer partners of 20 plus years. We get together a couple times throughout the year to pray for each others families. The only Catholic member of the prayer group asked us to pray for Indianapolis specifically, as several Catholics had premonitions of a disaster to strike Indianapolis.

She said that many Catholics throughout the world were praying and fasting to mitigate the destruction that would occur to Indianapolis. She knew nothing more than this information, and I have nothing more to add.

I would suggest that we pray for Indianapolis.

FYI I have lived in Indianapolis all my life and was even a former 500 Race princess while in college many years ago. I have attended at least 15 races and have tickets for this year's race so I have a real concern.

I have been concerned about Indianapolis being a prime target for terrorism as it is the largest spectacle in racing and attracts people from all over. I believe that over 500,000 people attend each race.

I do not know at this time whether I will still go to the race, as my husband would think I am crazy if I tell him why I do not want to go. Perhaps I will go and spend a large majority of time in prayer.

The Miami Heat versus Indianapolis Pacers Game will also occur the same day as the Race so this will stretch the police forces to the max.

This year, they are not letting people drive inside the track to park who have not previously bought a parking pass. Plus they will look through coolers and have reduced the size of coolers that are allowed into the track.

But thousands of people have been inside the track for the past month for racing events. Therefore it does worry me that someone could have planted something prior to Sunday's race.

Please consider praying for my city and all the people that could be affected should something occur.
