Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27317240 Why would a spacecraft require external lights? I mean, hypothetically, let's say the aliens have the capability to travel light years to get here. It doesn't seem logical they would still need spotlights to see what they're doing. Discuss. Maybe it's got something to do with magnetic propulsion or some form of propulsion beyond our understanding of physics? |

You're also assuming they're just lights, which may also not be the case. Light can simply be a bi-product of energy production. Light can also be used to warn others of your presence. Many possible explanations. If our modern helicopters have 3 degrees of freedom, helmet mounted synthetic vision systems with thermal imaging.. its a good bet that alien craft don't use spot lights to make the approach. I think the lights we see may also be unavoidable unless they're cloaked due to the frequencies the plasma needs to obtain in order to be mobile. |

I'm going with one of theses, [link to www.centuryheli.com] This shows a 4 rotor remote controlled aircraft. And one of these, [link to www.billscustomrclighting.com] This shows a LED lighting kit, They have gotten very intensive, because of recent improvements in battery tech. And some of this action. [link to www.hobbyking.com] This shows One of the "Bomb drop" technologies available to the hobbiest today. Ya, prolley all put together in a nice, "Thrill you're friends, scare you're neighbors." package from some manufacturer already. The wild maneuver can be chalked up to simply cutting the power to the electric motors, or two of the electric motors. causing it to fall rapidly, a visually sharp maneuver. Add to the fact it's over a neighborhood, and it stays over the neighborhood. As apposed to flying off at jaw dropping speeds. Let me guess, just vanished, right? Either that or Aliens landed in a Fresno neighborhood. I am interested in the other sightings on the 26th, and will be looking at clear skies tonight. Gonna do some hunting of my own. All of this is of course my own humble opinion. Well, and some facts. Last Edited by NervousAndJerky on 05/27/2013 04:24 PM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 18725862 Netherlands 05/28/2013 04:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's terrestrial .... why would ETs make such an effort to remain hidden during the day and then shine great big fecking lights about at night? And what is the point of all the swinging back and forth.. go to where you are going and then go home, stop flapping about like your Tom-Tom has broken already! |

'they' can fly at amazing speeds across galaxies yet they can't figure out a walkie talkie system that works so need to use morse code? "Hey Zork was that three flashes and a long flash or two flashes and a long flash?" Just.. weird |

Discuss. good question Those lights could just be the byproduct of a plasma field around the craft as it charges and super-heats the gas in our atmosphere. The plasma field is most likely an electromagnetic or gravitational bubble around the craft. |
