Why would anyone reincarnate here NOW?

Because its unique, its all about the experience, imagine you are a unlimited infinite being and want to experience something new, do you really think that something being good/bad - easy/hard really matters? Of course not, what matters is living a new experience and learning new things in it.The rest...is just drama.

i'd say right now is the most exciting time in many centuries.

sure there is just as much, if not more, suffering and pain than there ever has been; but by the same token there is just as much potential for happiness and pleasure.

while we live in a world in which we are continuously blasted with hypnotic lies and misinformation, there is also more truth available than before.

we are in the fullest, widest spectrum seen in a very long time. in terms of samsara just about every possible type of karma can be worked on. it would appear that we are amidst a crescendo of the cycles, potentially able to break free of these cycles and move on.

Dead is not the end. They are seeders of love.

Well keep your "ancestral knowledge" to yourself and nobody will give a shit what you do in the privacy of your home.

You make a difference, just by being here, Calx. Truly. There will be ways for you to express those things, creative outlets--they may not be riddled with the trappings of fame or fortune, but I believe if you still reveal your creativity and put something out there when you feel, others who could benefit from it will find it. It will make its way to those who are meant to hear/see it, that's just the way I feel this place works, in a metaphysical way.

But does that evolutionary process reset the moment you die and are reincarnated? Because from what I know, one has no recollection of their past life. Meaning what they would have gained spiritually would be lost to them too.

Also, are humans always reincarnated as humans? Or do souls mix between the animal and human kingdom? Which again refers to the above question, in that the spiritual evolutionary process is rest between reincarnation...

Consciousness never dies, it either goes up or down, and we are between two energy fields of the human consciousness. Some people need to learn biology, and science.

OP, even if you feel it has been in vain do not judge your affect on another. One word, one song, one smile can change a heart and the world.

On this Earth we cannot recall the bigger picture of our purpose so we get caught up in the ego's need to " see" or experience the success of our purpose here and now. Let go of that need, live from your heart. That is all that is required. It is the ego which is responsible for your sadness and feelings of failure.

When you feel such despair look around you for good rather than evil for it is quietly there not needing news coverage to validate itself. News coverage is the domain of greed and evil trying to convince you it is real rather than merely an illusion we created in our forgetting of who we really are. Look away and the truth will be seen through your heart, not your physical eyes for they too are a part of this illusion.

Some souls reincarnated for their own purposes, and others reincarnated for some common purpose, teaching or solidarity. It's supposed to be a "master plan", a "strategy" about that. The "Souls' Show" on Earth is an associated production, I guess, but the backstage and the full artistic & technical cast is a mystery. Some people believe in the metempsychosis (animal & humans stuff), others say that animal souls and "human" souls are somehow related but essentially very different stuff.

Personally, I think unfinished business, or it's where we need to be the most. I've always hear 'what you resist, persists' so until you make amends with something or it no longer bothers you, you're stuck like Chuck.

If you think about it, there has never been a wilder and crazier time to be alive (on this planet). Life was never meant to be all holy and stuff and pray in a cave all day.

Even the greatest kings from antiquity never had the advantages that even people of moderate means have these days. If you go by the incarnating idea, what difference does it make what happens while you are physical? Living on planet earth right now is a wild roller coaster ride.

We have nice people, assholes, idiots, maniacs, corporate psychopaths. Who knows what madness lies ahead.

I don't have any answers why we are here but I'd rather be here than living during the dark ages.

When I've had enough, I can split but for now I'm waiting for the big apocalyptic ending.

There's a comedian named Patton Oswalt who does a very funny routine on "The Apocalypse". I don't have a link but if you Google it, you'll find a link to it on Comedy Central.
