Don't think this will end well? Police in Queens are searching for an FBI agent's stolen vehicle containing a military rifle, law enforcement officials said. The agent's personal car was stolen from 130th Street and Sutter Avenue in South Ozone Park Tuesday night, according to the officials. Inside the car was an M4 rifle, believed to be inside a locked box. Police are canvassing the area for vehicle, a silver 2010 Toyota Camry. The FBI agent shot a man last July in a similar scenario, when he allegedly caught the suspect trying to break into his personal vehicle outside his home. The agent was recently cleared of any wrongdoing by a Queens grand jury. [link to www.nbcnewyork.com] |

Don't think this will end well? More Info A troubled FBI agent is in hot water once again after his assault rifle that kept in the trunk of his car was stolen along with the vehicle tonight Queens. The off-duty federal agent noticed that his Toyota Camry was missing at his home in Ozone Park, just months after he shot a man who was trying to steal his car at the same location, according to law enforcement sources. The thief took the vehicle around 8 p.m. and made off with the M-4 assault rifle and bulletproof vest which were sitting in the trunk. Police are searching for the car tonight. On July 18 of last year, the same agent — whose name has not been released — saw a man trying to steal his car from his bedroom window at around 5 a.m. He fired one shot and hit one of the perps in the back. Police later found Adrian Ricketts, 23, of Canarsie, being treated for a back wound in Brookdale Hospital along with the two pals who helped with steal the car. The other suspects were identified as Lyster Hensford, 23, of Flatbush, and Shamarie Jackson, 28, of Crown Heights. Charges were ultimately dropped against all the suspects. The NYPD turned the investigation over to the Queens district attorney’s office, who announced in March that they decided that the agent would not charged criminally for the shooting. The FBI held an investigation to determine whether the agent complied with the bureau’s policies on the use of deadly force. They did not say whether the agent has faced disciplinary actions for the previous incident [link to www.nypost.com] |
