The year 1999 goes until december 31st 1999. THE FULL YEAR 1999 has 365 days, or 12 months. So, three options for us:

1) '7 month(s)' means the 7th month OF 1999, or,
2) '7 month(s)' means 7 FULL MONTHS to ADD to 1999, and / or,
3) '7 month(s)' means the 7th month AFTER 1999...

to which you must add 13 years (king of terror = A 13 years CYCLE for the death (Hades = 13th card of the tarot) scares everybody.

But options 2 and 3 are in fact the same.

The point is that in French (Nostradamus' language) 'month' AND 'months' are written THE SAME WAY: MOIS. Hence the double meaning of options 2 and 3.

The way the numbers / words are given - their order - let us think about an addition: year 1000 + 900 + 99 + 7 months.

Otherwise Nostradamus would have written: month 7 year 1999, or the 7th month of 1999.

This subtle difference can only be understood by French speaking people. Nostradamus was French, not English or American. In addition, we must think in OLD FRENCH, not in our current language of the 21st century. The days of the calendar weresn't described the same way we do now.

So, Nostradamus adds 7 months to (the full year) 1999: JULY 2000.

To July 2000 you add A 13 years CYCLE ('from the heaven / sky will come a cycle of') that Hades (the 13th card of the tarot) represents.

The final result is therefore: JULY 2013.
