Yeah, how dare I actually go to the library and do some real research. I suppose such a foreign concept would seem like a dick move and completely unfair to those who are students of the university of youtube. They're automatically at a disadvantage. Yes, I suppose that does make me a douchebag. Oh well, it's irrelevant. I may be a douchebag, but I'm still right.
 Quoting: Dr. Astro

Doing research is not fair, the other kids don't know how to do it.

I don't agree with astro on a lot of what he says but I can tell you the the moon thing is normal. I can remember seeing it do that as far back as I can remember, late 80's. The amount of "tilt" might have changed over the years but that is because the Earths tilt has changed.

The moon has been recorded in its different positions in art through the ages. You can go to Wikimedia commons and look at the pictures. This is not a very big sample, but enough to give you the idea. Many of them are from Europe, which lies at about the same latitude as the US, between the tropics and the arctic.

[link to commons.wikimedia.org]

Here is a painting done in the 1600s:
[link to upload.wikimedia.org]

This is an old diagram of the moon phases:
[link to commons.wikimedia.org]

There are also several paintings from hundreds of years ago that show what sure look like flying saucers. Lot of interesting things in old painting.

**

You can't make up for a lifetime of not paying attention to the sky, as is pretty normal now, but you can make up for lost time by studying.

In the future, if things go to hell, it might be very useful to know how to understand what is going on in the sky. Then you have a better chance of knowing when something is really out of the ordinary.

Get a Farmer's Almanac, even an old used one, and read it. The dates will be incorrect, but other information will be useful. They are very interesting reading, and you can learn a lot of useful information about the sky environment.

I also shot video of it. I couldn't fake that even if I wanted to, I'm not nearly that talented at CG or video editing.

If I'm lying about the date or "faking the image" then prove I faked the image and show what the "actual" cover of the January 1969 issue looked like.

I just happen to be able to do just that, the problem is you will claim it is a fake. The only way to confirm what was actually in the cover is to possess an actual copy. I don't, but I know someone who does.

Go on lying Astro. You look like a buffoon to anyone who knows anything about these subjects. That's not your target though, is it?

Also if its not a fake it could be an photoshopped one for illustration to whatever

There is not such a Moon with a geo location above mexico's latitude.

And the Moon normally doeas not rotates several degrees per hour as well. Its not written in any astronomy books or basic school books as well.
