As a vet, he should have known better...
Quoting: TheBiss What do you mean? He should have let the criminal in the house to kill his family? Sorry but this guy did everything right, in fact he was probably to nice by firing a warning shot. What if he shot the intruder instead? That is exactly what he should have done. He was trying to give the intruder a break and got arrested for it. Yep,his biggest mistake it seems was doing the right thing and having mercy for the criminal.
