The Turkish Prime Minister says protests at Taksim Square and Gezi Park 'will be over in 24 hours.' This comes hours after Tayyip Erdogan met a group of activists, in an attempt to start dialog, and vowed to put an end to the gatherings. [ link to rt.com] come on he didnt even met the real activists. Quoting: mhanth4f Yep, ridiclious, some people he chose, nobody from the streets..wonder what he will do to stop this in 24 hours.. Indeed, its just looking impossible for him to stop this in 24hours since he stated it with only "talking to activist" what the bugger is he planning? threating people? Every attempt to stop the demonstrations will make the protestors even more angry. I think we are at a point of no return for Erdogan, he will lose something, if peaceful or due to violence. Its no return for both side though. It wont be so long to wait for today, the meeting between him and the "activist" started at 4PM yesterday, so for it to be 24 hours hmm next 5 hours? but i dont think he did stated that the protest will end in 24 hours right after the meeting. Also he said he will meet Hulya to discuss the protest today, did he cancel it or what.
