There are lots of other factors that could point to a major quake this weekend. I'm not sure an asteroid is a factor but I wouldn't rule it out either.



There is no way to tell the likely location. But active areas should definitely be aware of the potential.

1998 QE2 and 1998 Deep impact, Could this be just a coincidence?
A black president in office in both cases. The comet broke into two pieces in the movie (6 miles and 1.5 miles). With Nasa's announcement yesterday, QE2(1.6 miles) has a companion 600 meters wide. Add to that Cliff*Hi* GCE by June 1st or 2nd. What are the odds?

I would say the chances of an earthquake happening because of this asteroid passing, are highly probable.

I am not saying it will happen.

Just that the chances, of it happening, are highly probable.

This is because of one very important fact.

This asteroid has a moon!

Therefore, it clearly has some form of gravitational field; which means it has Gravity!

Only an object with Gravity can hold a Moon in orbit.

Just how much gravity it has, we likely do not yet know, but the fact remains, it has gravity.

Therefore, we must consider the hypothesis of what effects that Asteroid's gravity field, will have on our own planet, as it passes us by.

1. Will its gravity be strong enough, to have some effect on Earth?
2. If so, how much gravity does it have, and how would this determine the level of effects on Earth?
