I have no problem with gay people being together. I even support a legal union of two people of the same sex. I disagree with gay marriage though.

Why is it that at first they insisted on simply having the same rights as a wife or husband but the term union was not good enough.

A marriage is between one man and one woman. To me it is not about equal rights. Marriage is a contract between two people of the opposite sex. There is no getting around that. It is just like the act of procreation. It is between one man and one woman. No matter how much gays may want to experience child birth it is simply not that way. It is time to grow up and realize you do not get everything you want.

Leave the gay marriage fight alone. It is not appropiate now or ever. Some things are between an adult male and an adult female. Marriage is one of them. Making babies is one of them. It does not work with two men or two women. It does not work with one man and two women. The child is still the child on only one of those women. It does not work with one and two men. Who is the father? There is only one man who can be the father and only ony one woman.
