According to one scout: "He’s a tough guy, a great leader, a great person. But he isn’t a good enough quarterback to have all the distractions that come with him."

Tim Tebow is a Christian and that is what killed his career. When the NFL owners and fans are willing to bring back Michael Vick, then I would say that all pretense of honor and reputation left the stadium.

Re: Tim Tebow's NFL career is "probably" over.
Tebow is a terrible throwing QB, a terrible full back, far to slow to be a NFL halfback, and has no experience at tight end he has no place in the NFL. He wouldn't do well in the CFL either because it is an even pass heavier league. There are a ton of guys that don't last long in the league he is only being persecuted for being a non NFL caliber player. Yes there are plenty of thugs that keep there spot in the league, its because they are good at football and the teams are competing with one another to have the best talent available.
 Quoting: Raoulduke

Yet he threw two touchdown passes to beat the might Pittsburgh Steelers in the Playoffs. It's Christian hate.

That's O.K. He will make a great preacher for the Lord!

Doubt it. He fizzed out with the sodomite debacle.

and also the fact he's SBC...
SBC are gigantic compromisers and their churches are filled with freemasons.

Does anybody remember Heath Schuler or Ryan Leaf? These guys were good in college too,but sucked so bad their career was pretty much over in 3 or less years.

Tebow is in that same category.Sure he did "Good enough" to help the Broncos into the playoffs, but lets be honest. They were a run Heavy team that year and the defense was pretty good.Tebow was just in the right place at the right time. It's happened many times before to other players on other teams in the past.

When people say it's because he is so open with his Christianity is why his career is over is a bunch of idiots. It's because he sucks so bad is why his career is ending. -End Rant

Tebow was/is a winner. His NFL w-l record is insane. His personal numbers weren't that good, but he won. Last I knew, football was a team sport. His team won, give him a fucking break.

If he wasn't Christian, he'd still be playing.

schuler and leaf? please point me to their miracle seasons and 4th qtr heroics, multiple times that got them into the playoffs despite a 1 - 4 start? show me their sudden death TD throws to beat a superbowl caliber steeler team.

nice analogy.

Heath Schuler and Ryan Leaf sucked ass. Tebow defeated the vaunted Pittsburgh Steelers which is like leading the French Army and defeating the Rommel's Panzer Tiger tank Wehrmacht. Definitely anti Christian.

Tim will be fine. The NFL will not define his life. Opinions of him from across the world will not define his life.

His deeds will define him.....as ours will for each of us.

He is a fucking douchebag christian who smears his stupid religious bullshit all over everything. If he kept it to himself and made his religious life private where it belongs, this would not be happening. He gives religion a bad name by flaunting it like it makes him special. What a fag.

You knowthis without having seen this.

When he plays, he finds ways to get it done out of sheer desire and force of will. He leads. He makes it happen. His teammates are always inspired.

Some people said the same thing in Denver. He sucks. He can't really play. He's really not a good thrower. When they finally put him in, all they did was win.

I want to see him get one more chance to play.

Re: Tim Tebow's NFL career is "probably" over.
He lost his first year in Denver as rookie. When he finally was given a chance in his second season, it was Tebow Mania. But Elway did not want him to stay. He was not Elway's choice. He was Josh McDaniels' choice. Tebow was pushed out in a second when Payton was brought in. The Broncos still should have kept Tebow as their backup QB. Then the Jets shut him down and shut him up to bury his third season lost away.

There's got to be a few teams that should be willing to take a chance on Tebow. His style of play doesn't make him a long-term franchise QB anyway. But he definitely has a few more seasons of exciting football ability available that I'd like to see.

I don't understand why everyone thinks his "Protestant" kneeling and putting his fist on his head is a Christian gesture. Look more like the "Thinker" statue imitation to me. Many Catholic football players which are the most despised Christians kneel and make a very discreet and humble sign of the cross on big occasions. They aren't made a spectacle of or run out of the league.

This thread is the result of ESPN dumbing down football so every average person feels like they get it, lol. Absolutely ridiculous comments in here, especially accusing teams of not playing him because he's Christian. I dare say the late-great Reggie White could literally recite the bible to us backwards (look into his religious devotion), conducted sermons and prayer sessions for his teams, but I'm pretty sure those guys let him play. The NFL is all about wins, and playing the people who will get them for you no matter what. Tough pill for casuals to swallow for some reason.
