Don't you know that WE Have a magnetic field as well? The reversal of polarity on Earth's field to ours has potential for radical mental/spiritual consequences. :ritd:"You've been left on your own, like a Rainbow in the Dark" -Ronnie James Dio:ritd: |

Could the electricity we use be causing the changes....drawing off the energy from the magnetosphere and thus bending the poles to whichever country is using the most? |

But the fact is that the magnetic north pole changes a bit every year...it always has. That's why we identify two types of poles: The magnetic north pole, which is unstable and changes from year to year And the geographic north pole, a position established by measuring the variations in magnetic pole variations and creating a mathematical average position so we have an established north pole. It's really for navigational purposes...a stable north position and a stable south position. Sorry to burst any bubbles...but pole shifts are not dramatic like in the movie "2012". |

Looks like a pole reversal is likely within 2 years from now.. probably much sooner because of the exponential acceleration. Quoting: Wubbo Ockels description: "magnetic north pole has moved 161 miles in 6 months only, this puts its arrival in siberia in less that 2 years, and it is when it arrives there that it will have migrated 40 degrees across the northern hemisphere at this point the poles will shift at high speed over the equator until it reaches 40 degrees south ..." Quoting: Holy_Diver Don't you know that WE Have a magnetic field as well? The reversal of polarity on Earth's field to ours has potential for radical mental/spiritual consequences. I don't necessarily think it would be harmless. If there is a period of time with patchy, little, or no magnetosphere protection, the earth surface might receive a lot more ionizing radiation, especially from the sun. If this is the case, added protection might come in the form of only going outdoors at night, and staying indoors, with some concrete or masonry ceilings in the daytime. But it is also an issue I have no control over, so it is not worthy of any emotional investment on my part. Last Edited by ehecatl on 06/02/2013 12:55 AM |

Earth has settled in the last 20 million years into a pattern of a pole reversal about every 200,000 to 300,000 years, ................ And while reversals have happened more frequently in "recent" years, when dinosaurs walked Earth a reversal was more likely to happen only about every one million years. [link to www.nasa.gov] |

We would have no protection from the Solar flares etc, the atmosphere could be literally blown away over time... BUT it isn't going to happen. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10575758 Please feel free to alert me when someone detects the field weakening. From "The British Geological Survey" (Natural Environment Research Counsel) : A magnetic reversal in progress? The South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) is known to be growing in extent and spreading westwards from South Africa, as the Earth’s internal magnetic field rapidly weakens in this region. This may be early evidence of a forthcoming reversal in the direction of the Earth’s internal magnetic field. We do not know in detail precisely what occurs during such reversals, including the changes observed in the magnetic field and the time a reversal takes to complete. However these factors are important in knowing where the radiation risk may be increased and how the atmosphere might respond. Earth’s magnetic field has had many highs, lows and reversals in its past. The last reversal was around 800,000 years ago. So the Earth is known to be able to re-generate its field and has done so during human pre-history. Understanding the development of the SAA may therefore be significant in understanding the reversal process and its impact on life and the natural environment. source: [link to www.bibliotecapleyades.net] . new evidence of human pre-history is much older then 800,000 years ago. noah's ark and a pre warning from god or the gods. seed bank, underground cities, ect |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 40726475 United States 06/02/2013 02:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember reading an article several years ago in National Geographic about magnetic pole reversals. The author stated there is evidence that magnetic reversals are sometimes accompanied by actual geographic pole shifts, and that there was no way to predict if this was to be the case with the next magnetic pole shift. I've often felt that this scenario is what the gov't is preparing for. They are trying to lock us down and take control before all hell breaks loose. |
