What would you consider a comfortable amount of money to live on yearly? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13127957 I think I could live comfortably off of $75,000 a year without any problems. 65-110....is reasonable...under and above you need to start cheating the system. |

Not to swim or surf but to just be in the presence and on the sand. I want to look to the horizon and just see endless water and waves. The rougher the better. My Wife, of course, has zero interest in this...almost as if my peace of mind is some sort of vague threat. A married man, raising a wife and kids in the US would need 80,000 Quoting: RF 22348693 YES!!! We are a family of 5 and only my husband works, I stay home and do the Wife and Mother things. We live on 80,000, and we manage to save some in our savings, and go on 1-2 vacations a year. If it's a big vacation, it would be only one a year, if it's a little vacation it would be twice a year. It's sad because we used to live on 50,000 a year comfortable, but it is THE GOVERNMENT AND THE ELITES WHO HAVE RUINED IT FOR THE AVERAGE MIDDLE INCOME FAMILY, now we need to work more and spend less time with our families just to make enough to live off of. SCREW YOU ELITES AND GOVERNMENT, WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND!!! In one hour Gold and Silver will be worthless HA HA HA HA HA HA A Smart person would stock up on can food and water and medicine....... |

Someplace in small town USA and it would be enough to have a decent place to live. Not going to give you luxury anywhere. If that is what you want, then you need to go out and earn a whole lot more. |

We were able to pay off everything this year. I wonder if you are retired. As for the food, no kidding, you eat far better at home. Just made oven chili tonight, a chili that is started in a pot but then poured into a dish and baked in the oven. What a wonderful chili that makes, a little thicker than some, but really good. Bill's Oven Chili Some ground beef or other meat, 2 cans diced or stewed tomatos, a bit of chili powder to taste, a dash of balsamic vinegar, kidney beans, a can of baked beans. Chopped onion, and fresh garlic. Some corn. saute onions and garlic and meat in skillet. Add the tomatoes and the baked beans. Spice to taste. Add the beans and corn. Pour this mixture into a glass or ceramic oven pan, like a lasangna pan. Bake at 350 for as long as you can wait .....40 minutes or so. Heavenly.
