I don't know whether I should laugh at how ignorant some of you are, or whether I should be concerned about how close mided some people are. I've decided against both, I think I'll attempt to provide some insight on what you think you know so much about. I might be contradicting myself, knowing how dense you "proud infidel" are, but I'll give it a shot.

To begin with, I am a proud Muslim. I pray five times a day, I thank God for what he has given me. I wouldn't say I'm a very religious person, but I do know enough about my religion. I do read the Quran on a frequent basis. I am familiar with the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) seerah (life struggle) and his teachings. Now to begin with, let me say that perspective is a major issue in this matter. The way you portray Islam is nothing close to what we really are. I have been taught to respect other people's beliefs no matter what they are. I can teach them some of my beliefs about Islam, and it is ultimately their decision what to embrace. The Prophet Muhammad never encouraged violence where it is not needed.


Allow me to quote you:
( “fight in God’s cause against those who wage war against you, and do not commit aggression, for, verily, God does not love aggressors. And slay them wherever you find them” (2:190-191)) The way you quote the verse is incomplete. First of all, verse 190 ends at "aggressors". The next complete version of verse 191 is "And slay them where you find them, and egress them from where they have egressed you."

As I said earlier, it's a matter of perspective. Translate it the way you feel necessary, at the end of the day there is only one true meaning. Before you begin on how "pervasive" and violent "all 1.6 billion", at least educate yourself from valid and trusted sources. Plus I'm guessing you don't know many muslims yourself, yet all 1.6 billion are mindless suicidals. I rest my case. May Allah guide you to the truth.
