I read some of the blogs and the police are corrupt and either demand bribes or will plant drugs on you and send you to jail Which is it? Is there any escape from the US? She loves it? I went there once on vacation and would never ever go back. This is after the desire to go there for the past 15 years. I was hugely let down, but that is what I get for listening to lies about Belize. I feel sorry for anyone living there and like I said I would never go back.

Looking at Belize due to the English, Panama, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Guatemala. The idea is to get a nice chunk of liquid assets into a foreign bank that you could live off in the event of a US dollar collapse. Belize has the banks and the English, but you may not want to live there. Perhaps in a next door county.

To answer your question, Yes. I'm PRETTY sure someone has lived in Belize before. It IS a country right? So people MUST have lived there in order for that to have happened. So I'd have to say yes. People HAVE lived in Belize before.
