Either update drivers or failing that, you'll need to get a card that wasn't made in 1872. :/ rofl oh and very soon i should be opening a permanent server, so all GLP minecraft nerds welcome Last Edited by The Deplorable AtsuiPanda on 06/05/2013 10:59 AM :/sdfhasdfshasd/: Those who live by the sword die by the sword, those who don't live by the sword are subject to those who do. |

I heard it's littered with dead code and redundancy code which doesn't surprise me considering how stupid Notch actually was when he made it. Instead of learning something useful like C++ he decided to go with Java because it was easier. |

He knows many languages besides Java, people have already made MineCraft into C# but people will not support it :/sdfhasdfshasd/: Those who live by the sword die by the sword, those who don't live by the sword are subject to those who do. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 22383267 Canada 01/03/2015 05:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It could be a windows 8.1 issue, since it no longer supports certain older Open GL features. Ive already tried replacing the Open GL file in System 32, tried new and older video drivers. Tried opening Minecraft with a bat file. Or in compatibility mode. This is seriously aggravating me, now I'm not the nerdiest guy on GLP which is why I'm frustrated. I'm going to try this on windows 7. Maybe an older Java would work. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61907922 He should be fine. I'm thinking it's more of a software issue. Integrated graphics are more than capable of running minecraft. Not like he's trying to run battlefield 4 and needs a Geforce 660 Ti.... |

Not like he's trying to run battlefield 4 and needs a Geforce 660 Ti.... I can play battlefield 4 I'm running a ATI HD 4600 1gb. It's defiantly a software issue I'm just not sure what's causing the issue. I will try on windows 7 tonight. Apparently this issue is very common. No idea why. I get the exact same report as OP. I could try a few more things... like change the resolution of my display etc. |

It still wasn't working on my windows 8, so I uninstalled my ATI drivers and installed very old ones, then I would uninstall those drivers and install a slightly newer drivers and then uninstall those etc etc Until I had the latest drivers installed. Then I put it in windows 7 compatibility mode. Now it starts. What a Craptacular pos lol |

It may start giving you graphical errors like everything appearing a solid texture or seeing through the map. Go into your ATI Catalyst settings or Nividia Driver settings and set everything to let the application decide. Then set Minimapping to the highest setting. |
