Main thing driving the Market is Yen-Carry-Trade.

US equities are currently driven by the Yen.

Yen goes down and stocks go up.

Yen had a major spike last few days, which coupled with the VIX wave that occurs about every month and half, forced the market to a short-term low.

SPY has now bounced off the 50% retracement from the 4/18 to 5/22 run up.

Yen hit major resistance. This is 102 on FXY. Short-term, Yen is headed low.

However, in the long-term, the problem doesn't go away.

Japan will most likely default on their soverign debt in about 5 years.

Abe is pulling out all stops and going on a $2T shopping spree to bring in income to help finance their debt.

I am on the look out to see what he is shopping for.

They better watch out though, you would think the way the Yen has gone down that the market would be around 17,000 right now, but the volatility has become so intense now some people are backing up and hedging out...

And Japan will default a lot sooner than that if all those Japanese corporations that own that debt decide to dump for something that will actually help their declining revenue streams...
