At what point during the past few years did we cross over into the Twilight Zone? From global weather, to the political or economic chaos that reigns everywhere - what the fuck happened? Such major, major changes last 5 years or so.

Just a quick interjection:

They never claimed premiums would go down. They claimed health costs would go down. Health costs were inflating massively due to the absence of insurance in a significant portion of the population of the United States. Premiums aren't going to go down any time soon. The best we can hope for is that they stay the same or only grow slightly. It takes time to get the bar to move in the other direction.

That being said, Obamacare was shit and it was a temporary solution to a deep rooted and extremely dangerous problem. Republicans will block further Healthcare Reform because they hate Obamacare which will cripple anything we could do about it now. Democrats have fucked us nice and good by pushing the shit in the first place and now it's too late to go back.

We are rapidly reaching the Point of No Return.
