Pit bulls never had a bad reputation until they became popular, and when they did it was because of a dogfighting fad.

Treated kindly, there is no more loyal and loving dog with an extremely stable countenance. They are very tolerant of abusive children and would rather run away from abuse tan bite in defense when it is from a family member. The dogs that are creating the problems all turn out to have histories of abuse.

My dog cannot get loose. I have 6 foot privacy fences and they have concrete/rock bases. If you get bit it will be because you were breaking the law, and the dog is probably going to be the least of your worries. problem with pit's is: the wrong people tend to buy em:dealer,young people who think the dog is badass, people that know jack shit about training.

Did you people know that German Shepards are actually more likely to be involved in an attack than pit bulls? Well, now you do. All dogs are dangerous, but clearly bigger breeds are more dangerous than smaller breeds and obviously a dog which is being kicked and hit is going to be more aggressive than one which is not. It still baffles me that German Shepards aren't banned in some places, as pit bulls are, considering they ARE the more deadly dog. No-one should leave a toddler alone with a dog - any dog. A toddler can't understand the danger of pulling a dogs tail, or trying to take its food away. It's not the dog fault they have inbuilt instincts, and it's certainly not the childs fault. It's entirely the fault of the owner.
The bottom line is, many people should not have dogs (or any other animal) because they're too irresponsible.
