To drink or drug oneself is an indicator that the soul is asking to travel in infinite space, but its not this means of escape satisfying it

"The realm of the soul is infinite space, and when it feels limited, it seeks to escape at all cost and presses its host to provide the means. And if these means are not of a spiritual nature, they will be of a material nature: alcohol or drugs... These substances have the ability to chase the soul out of the physical body, giving it, at least temporarily, the illusion of freedom and space.

But when it comes down to it, alcohol and drugs are chemical substances given to the body. But the body itself does not need to escape; the need to escape comes from the soul. To drink or to drug oneself is an indicator that the soul is asking to travel in infinite space, but it is not this means of escape that can satisfy it. As a result, not only is the soul dissatisfied, but the body itself is destroyed. Only by means that are spiritual in nature can the soul experience the dilation and plenitude it seeks."
