Canine Cancer and Vaccinations
Greetings fellow GLPers. It is with a heavy heart that I post this thread.

In March I took my perfectly healthy 9 year old German Shepherd to the vet for her shots. We don't like doing it, we are anti-vaccinationists in fact, and have gone years without it, however the city we live in found out we had a dog and they harassed us to no end - letters, fines, officers at the door - to get a license for our dog, for which she would require vaccination. So in order to avoid a hefty fine and penalties for not licensing her, we got her vaccinated, basically against our will.

By Mid-April she began losing her appetite, and lost a tremendous amount of weight. She became lethargic and lost her spark.

She has now been diagnosed with lymphoma. She basically has days, a couple of weeks at the most to live. The vet's answer to how she got it was "well, just as healthy humans get cancer, so do healthy dogs". A red flag went up in my mind.

As soon as I got home I googled "vaccines and lymphoma" and I was shocked at the number of cases of dogs getting cancer within mere weeks of vaccination. Some even get tumors right at the injection site. Seems the relationship between Modified Live Vaccines (MLV) and cancer is well documented and has been for years.

I am considering arming myself with case studies, testimonials and research and confronting the city with this information. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THEY KILLED MY BELOVED DOG WITH THEIR VACCINATION MANDATE. There is no choice in the matter. They drive around looking for homes that have signs of a dog living there, and knock on your door demanding you purchase a license for which the dog must be vaccinated first. Failure to do so results in very high fines and penalties. Not sure what the penalty is if you continue to resist beyond the fines. I wish I had gone further with my resistance.

I am heartbroken and furious at the same time. I feel my rights have been violated, and my beloved animal has been sacrificed for municipal policy likely set forth by the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.

Have you or someone you know had a similar experience with vaccinations and canine cancer? Please post your experience here.

Che is resting comfortably now. We know she could go at any time but we are not ready to let go yet, and neither is she. I'd like to do what I can to stop this senseless practice and hopefully save the lives of other dogs out there.

I am sick of being a victim to policy and bad practices. I bet you are too.

Thanks.

yes, it's all true. I have had words now with 3 vets over this, one killed my cats with cheap vaccines. My current vet told me that cheap vaccines cause this and swears to me that he wont use them and has not lost an animal to this in 25 years. I suspect he is telling me the truth as I think he is kind of afraid of me. Never, ever, take your animals to just any old vet.

Re: Canine Cancer and Vaccinations
Our one dog got a lump on her back - up near her neck where she gets shots - took her to vet - cancer.

We opted to have them try to remove it. The Dr said it is documented that the site of vaccines can give cancer to cats, and although not documented yet for dogs, she said she was pretty sure it was happening at some level.

Luckily, after taking out the lump (including scraping cancer off her spine!), the dr said all the edges were clear and that she thinks she had gotten everything.

This was about 3 years ago, and the now 7-yr old is still going strong.

I'm sure there is some link. We've told our regular vet, and although he thinks we're overreacting, understands what we've seen, so he's willing to do whatever we want.

One thing is to not have the same spot on the dog get the shots - that seems to increase the risk, so we move ours around.

We haven't had any other problems (have 2 other dogs).

This is definitely something to keep an eye on for, though.

Sorry to hear.

Oh, FYI - in case you're thinking of suing/whatever, even if you win, the law considers your pet property, so if someone injures/kills/destroys your pet it is looked at as if they destroyed your property. The most you will get is the value of the dog - so whatever you paid for it.

It sucks, I know. I looked into the same thing when we were going through this.

well I'd sue even if I got nothing, it serves to at least put them on notice. they don't care about their clients obviously, and they need to. they make money in volume, so losing a few bucks wont matter to them, but... you can put them in a database of bad vets as there is a permanent record in the courts certifying their bad business practices

Thank you both. I am happy to hear your dog has fared well through the ordeal, Judge. Unfortunately Che's cancer is in her lymph nodes, and spread rapidly. Nothing really we can do.

I am not interested in suing. Instead I want to go after the City to change they way they do things:
- Make it mandatory that the animal is first titered - ie: tested for the amount of antibodies present in the body in order to determine if vaccination is even required.
- Stop the harassment (quite literally!) of pet owners.
- Extend the time between required vaccinations....My city has it at max 18 months. Some vaccines remain the system up to 7 years! Over-vaccination is a chronic problem leading to a lot of illness and heartbreak.
- Allow exemptions. It should be the pet owner's choice.

Most of all I want to bring awareness to people that vaccinations are not always good for your pet. I want this to be Che's legacy.

It's funny you speak about this. I am 51 years old and have had my childhood dog live to 17(poodle) and then as an adult I had a Lab live to 17 years old and now have a Yorkie in his 10th year. Other than the puppy shots none of my dogs received any shots the rest of theirs lives and required NO operations. My lab didn't even lose teeth!! I'm a firm believer the shots are killers for animals. The mercury is just super deadly to them and lessens their live span!!!

Yep--- those bastards killed my beautiful puppy also. They told me she had an autoimmunity blood disorder that I later found out is related to having had too many vaccines. On top of that she rapidly got breast cancer. Both of these conditions finished her off and she was only 9 years old. She is buried in my backyard with a little solar cross on top of her grave.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

focus now on getting her well, completely detoxed.

get food grade h202 and dilute 1 ounce with 11 ounces distilled water. it is pure water and OXYGEN.

i had incredible success with a dying cat. vet sent us away with 'comfort meds' and a few weeks at best (jerk). that was three years ago.

vets are now also big pharma whores and could care less about curing disease and natural wellness.

Sorry to hear about your dog. The important thing now is to realise that you did what you could to have Che have the best life.

Here is an interesting article on Vaccinations from a vet

Also, there are nosodes that mimic vaccines but without the toxic side effects. You can always find a holistic vet or ask someone in the holistic community about them.

Re: Canine Cancer and Vaccinations
My dog is a 6lb Pomchi named Rocky. I refuse to give him poisonous vaccinations. I had to take him to the vet hospital a while back because he had chewed a rib bone and got painful shards in his tonsil area. The vet began asking about his vaccinations and I said it like it is-I think all vaccines are a hoax, they sicken and do not help anything. She began to give me a lecture with that 'shame on you' tone and look, when right then a woman barged in the door with a BostonTerrier in her arms screaming for help her dog was having a violent reaction to his shots.I thought the timing was perfect to make my point. The poor dog had water sacks hanging out of his eyes and a necrotic looking hole where he was injected.

They know folks will refuse to STAB their pets so it's only a matter of time before they will come knocking at your doors.

They will also rely on Snitch neighbors and since everything is being tracked online, i.e., pet food, toys, meds, etc. purchases will also show them you have pets.

They want Everyone and Everything living (we're talking pet hamster and stuff) to be chipped and Vaccinated.

The whole pet chipping thing was never about the safety of your pet, it was about conditioning you to accept your chip!

The real strength is in calling out these NAZI Vets and shaming them! Name names!

yes I refused to get my diabetic dog shots for over 6 years and he wasn't neutered either. They can take blood tests that tell if he is still good on the rabies, don't be afraid to stand up to them, good luck!

try giving her shark cartilage.... I had a dog diagnosed with liver cancer, given just two weeks to live, I started him on shark cartilage, within 1 week he was up and walking and lived another 2 1/2 years to the old age of 15 (which is pretty old for a Siberian Husky). I don't know if it will help, but it may... Do some quick research

Thanks.

try giving her shark cartilage....

Re: Canine Cancer and Vaccinations
Greetings fellow GLPers. It is with a heavy heart that I post this thread.

In March I took my perfectly healthy 9 year old German Shepherd to the vet for her shots. We don't like doing it, we are anti-vaccinationists in fact, and have gone years without it, however the city we live in found out we had a dog and they harassed us to no end - letters, fines, officers at the door - to get a license for our dog, for which she would require vaccination. So in order to avoid a hefty fine and penalties for not licensing her, we got her vaccinated, basically against our will.

I have 2 house cats which I got from the Human Society about 8 years ago. They were vaccinated once (Normal procedure at a sheltar here) and since then never again. They never had any issues, illneses or such. They also were not chipped, for me something which I'm totally against...

I looked into the same thing when we were going through this.

yes, there are things you can do to hide your animals, but also never be afraid to confront your vet, in fact take that bastard to small claims court, he probably wont even show up and you will will

Vaccination for import into NZ killed my dog.

Won't vaccinate my new dog and we don't have rabies here so no forced vaccines

They tried to make me microchip but I got out of it in a loophole.
Microchips cause cancer too

ANd dog food is another big conspiracy. Dogs who eat dog dog food will end up with all sorts of autoimmune problems

doG eats a raw food diet
