New Superman Movie Borrows Heavily From Jesus And The Bible...
Jesus Christ Is The Original Super Man

There are many aspects of the cartoon Superhero Superman that have been borrowed from the life of Jesus Christ. He comes from Outer Space to a planet not his own. He grew up with a special, predetermined destiny, he grows up to save mankind. The son is sent by his father to a planet far away… I think you get the idea. But here is where the comparisons end:

Jesus Christ is not just a ‘super man’, He is very God Himself. (John 1:1-4)

Jesus as the Jewish Messiah did come to save mankind, but from Hell and not from crime.

Jesus Christ has no kryptonite, He rules and reigns over all of His creation and is eternal. (Revelation 1:17,18)
Superman has a red cape, but Jesus wears a garment that’s red because its dipped in blood. (Isaiah 61:3, Revelation 19:13)

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:16,17

From Metro: According to director Zack Snyder, this isn’t the first time the above comparison has been made.

‘I think the relationship between Jesus and Superman is not a thing we invented in this film, it is a thing that has been talked about since the creation of Superman,’ he said, speaking to us from Warner Bros studios in LA.

This movie poster for the new Superman 2012 movie directly steals a bible reference to the return of Jesus Christ at the Second Advent – “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” Revelation 1:7

Both Jesus Christ and Superman are fiction.

Based perhaps on certain other characters who you really may not want to know and who may not have your best interests at heart.

There is overwhelming evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ, both in secular and biblical history. Perhaps the
greatest evidence that Jesus did exist is the fact that literally thousands of Christians in the first century A.D.,
including the twelve apostles, were willing to give their lives as martyrs for Jesus Christ. People will die for what they believe to be true,
but no one will die for what they know to be a lie.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

"This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

In a 2011 review of the state of modern scholarship, Bart Ehrman (now a secular agnostic who was formerly Evangelical) wrote: "He certainly existed, as virtually every competent scholar of antiquity, Christian or non-Christian, agrees" B. Ehrman, 2011 Forged : writing in the name of God ISBN 978-0-06-207863-6. page 285

Michael Grant (a classicist) states that "In recent years, 'no serious scholar has ventured to postulate the non historicity of Jesus' or at any rate very few, and they have not succeeded in disposing of the much stronger, indeed very abundant, evidence to the contrary." in Jesus: An Historian's Review of the Gospels by Micjhael Grant 2004 ISBN 1898799881 page 200

Richard A. Burridge states: "There are those who argue that Jesus is a figment of the Church’s imagination, that there never was a Jesus at all. I have to say that I do not know any respectable critical scholar who says that any more." in Jesus Now and Then by Richard A. Burridge and Graham Gould (Apr 1, 2004) ISBN 0802809774 page 34
