Anonymous Coward User ID: 39805900 United States 06/13/2013 10:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | got a finance degree, then got a job working in mutual funds for a little over $12 an hour. 911 happened and our department was relocated out of state. then served a 5 year apprenticeship with a local trade union and made more money on day one than i had with that expensive degree. of course, construction has dried up around here and i'm laid off again looking for the next opportunity. I see everyone having kids and can't help but wonder where the jobs will be in 20 years. Its an awfully scary thought. |

They can afford to pay you a living wage. |

Living paycheck to paycheck is not worth living. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13127957 and what is your alternative? My Alternative is NOT accepting working for peanuts. If everyone would stand up and fight these peanuts for wages and not accept it, we would live in a better world. If EVERYONE stood up and fight for a living wage, these asshole companies would go out of business. |

They can afford to pay you a living wage. I have no employer, i'm laid off. When employed, I make over $40/hr and our total package is near $80/hr when all benes are included. Its a great living when there's work, but working a few months a year is hardly going to provide for a family no matter how good the wage. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 13127957 United States 06/13/2013 11:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my opinion everyone is worth at least bare minimum $100.00 pay a day. If these greedy companies that make a profit exceeding that amount and do not pay their workers a fair share, they are not worth staying in business. Wal-Mart is a prime example. They do NOT pay their workers a living wage. |
