this is NO delusion. God is real....and God is One!

after admitting my kitty, Michelin into the ER after a diagnosis of diabetic ketoacidosis (sp?) i didn't know he had become diabetic (didn't know the signs for felines back then), i was told it was very serious and that the prognosis was 50/50 or less. anyway...a day or two after he was in the hospital i felt this feeling come over me that assured me everything was going to be okay. that he would survive. whenever i visited him, i never cried i was always happy for him and would exchange out things from home, so he could smell home and the other kitties, and bring back something home, so vice versa. anyway, spent as much time with him as i could.

at one point a vet told me when things weren't going so well that if this was her cat she would euthanize. i told her and everyone that i felt God had assured me that Michelin would be okay and that they didn't know Michelin's love of life and zest for life and that everything would be okay, he would pull through and survive.

he went into heart failure due to the fluids and the fact that he had a very small and minor congenital heart problem (under normal circumstances fixed with a daily pill). the cardiologist called me after doing the ultrasound on Michelin and said in a very sad voice, "Michelin is in multiple organ failure, his lungs are filled with fluid, his BP is low, congestive heart failure, still fighting the keto stuff, etc.)

i knew from a previous issue with one of my Mom's cats that cardiologists can tap fluid out of lungs....and this was the same vet cardio guy, so i said, "you might think i'm being unrealistic and not reacting properly (bc i wasn't crying, etc.), but i said Michelin WILL survive all of this....i know it...i feel God assured me of this, so here's what i want you to do: you can tap fluid out of lungs, right?" he said, yes. so i told him, "tap the fluid from his lungs, as much as you can get and put him on medicine to raise his BP." he said well, ok but when you put a cat on BP medicine they likely need it forever....i said, i don't care, just tap his lungs to clear them of fluid and give him the BP meds. (Michelin did not end up having to be on BP meds for long, he improved and didn't need those after he went home). cardio vet told me that he didn't think any of this would make a difference and i said, "yes, it will."

well, what do you know?!? Michelin (he was named this bc he was found living in a michelin tire and so the shelter named him for the tire and i kept the name) made a full recovery....he needed insulin, but he lived for years and would still be alive now if not for the car accident in which me falling asleep, after driving up from FL, killed him. i should have had him and the others in kennels, but i was careful the SUV was full...i should have bought even those paper box kennels...anyway, they called him Miracle Michelin......yes, he was living proof of God's miracles!!! my Michelin Michy! he lived, just as God had assured me he would! BELIEVE.

all of the vets were really taken aback by his recovery - granted not inexpensive. they were literally awestruck by the power of God's miracle on Michelin and said, wow, you were right...there are things, we doctors, cannot even understand. even now years later he is known as Miracle Michelin by all those vets and vet techs and the people who still work at the front desks. .... .and i hope the directions i gave to that cardio vet helped save other kitties in similar circumstances, too God teaches in all kinds of ways!

i follow God, i don't follow jesus (which is not his name...that is the latin version of his name, which i think is something like Yesuhah), because as a hebrew by heritage i am bound by the first commandment and i believe it to be true....though i do believe God can walk this earth and be anyone He so chooses to be. He might be the next homeless person asking you for help. He might be the next person who helps a homeless person. Only God knows!!!

i just don't get how people can look around and not believe there is a God.

i agree...we would only become a god if God chose to do such a thing....which seems unlikely to me....though really only God knows. i think it takes a ton of human hubris to think that way though (that you will become a god).
