It's not even illegal if you get someone other than your service provider to do it. It just breaks your contract by going with another provider. It's like jailbreaking your phone. It's not illegal to jailbreak your phone, it just voids the warranty. I work for apple and while we cant unlock the phones I can assure you that the carriers definitely can. Some refuse, some make you pay an outrageous fee, some may lie and tell you its not possible. But it is possible and NOT illegal. |
