“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan

I suppose it's possible that he's deliberately trying to push the populace into rebellion.

He might have the goal of restoring the United States to it's '50's post-war prosperity, and knows that hitting rock bottom economically rock bottom will force energy, activity, ingenuity, and growth when the nation as a whole goes into the economic red, and has to fend for ourselves with no international credit or commerce.

He just might even be trying to speed us into fighting for our own survival against "corporate nation-states" that have risen with the goal of making money, no matter how devastating the consequences of their actions are to the human race.

Any or all of these could be true.

Even if they aren't it'd make a great premise for a novel, wouldn't it?

Could it be President Obama is the 'good guy?'

Maybe everything that has happened so far (and all that is about to) is all part of a plan to bring about justice and needed positive 'change' to the 'under dogs' of this nation (world.)
 Quoting: Col. Angus 37528986

A "good guy" doesn't send out thousands and thousands of Fast & furious guns, and then tries to cover-up the hundreds and hundreds of murders in Mexico and America.

A "good guy" doesn't spy on innocent people and use the NSA and IRS to threaten, intimidate, target those innocent people.

A "good guy" doesn't go after journalists and their families to threaten and spy on them.

A "good guy" doesn't send the military into some shit hole country in africa and the middle east, only to leave them to die. A good guy doesn't lie, and go out and blame a video and the American people for the mistakes and the disaster in Benghazi.

A "good guy" doesn't hang out with a terrorist like Bill Ayers, and muslim brotherhood terrorists.

A "good guy", after being warned by Russia, doesn't let the Boston Bomber go out for jihad to Bomb and kill innocent Americans.

A "good guy" doesn't arm al-qaeda and other terrorists groups with guns and weapons, and then sends them into foreign countries to kill the innocent people that live there.

How can he be a good guy when almost everything he does is to bring down this country, and what it stands for in a world of oppression? How can he be a good guy when he openly admits that he has NO desire to follow the Constitution that he swore to uphold, unless it suits his agenda? How can he be a good guy when all he brings to the world is chaos, hatred, and death?

No Obama is not the good guy... The bibles says you will know the good guys by the fruit of their spirit... Obama honors the god of forces and the god of communism... he is not the good guy in fact just the opposite and soon you will see that... the elite are on his side....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41787926

but isn't communism the belief in a community coming together to help each other, almost like equality for everyone? its almost like we are 'brainwashed' into thinking 'survival of the fittest' aka 'capitalism' aka 'working for one self' is good and 'socialism' or 'communism' aka working to help your fellow man (the community as a whole) is so bad... why?

...on a larger scale, say like if we (our planet) we're attacked by outside forces ('aliens') would we not all pull together as a planet and fight and live as one?

these are just questions for pondering, im not 'leaning' one way or another... (before one of you 'arm chair Generals' launches one my way.) lol.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37528986

Why is socialism bad? It's fatally flawed because it fails to factor in the REALITIES of human nature. Humans ARE ultimately self-serving and motivated by greed. I say greed, in that what spurs effort/labor is the ability to better one's immediate circumstances. I am not motivated to work my ass off so half the population can sit on their ass and receive basic needs via the labor of others. It makes me mad. It demotivates me.

I also have no interest in providing my higher degree of intelligence and effort and getting a standard return on investment. If that's how it's going to be, then I will not invest at all. And if you demotivate the high producers/value individuals, you wind up quashing progress and all of humanity suffers in that scenario.

The only way to push a commie agenda into place is by force/control. And THAT is no utopia. Smart people will find ways around it, avoid it. And the utopia winds up with a bunch of parasites and no good way to provide for them. Who wants to live under this yoke? NO ONE WITH A BRAIN. And I resent the FUCK out of the psuedo-intellectuals who went to an Ivy League school and decided THIS is what the world wants/needs. Who are THEY to determine my destiny? Is 60% of my hard-earned money not enough of a contribution to their dumb approach?

So no, dude. It cannot work. Because the higher-value humans won't play ball in that game.

PS - if the planet was at risk, nations would gather resources and work together to address it. Doesn't matter what people believe, if the planet ceases to exist we are all dead. So motivation would be there to deal with it together.

He's the CIA's inside man in the White House, so you'd first have to believe the CIA are 'good guys' which is a real stretch. Their actions don't back that up.

Well, in conclusion... I believe all of this crap is futile. When I step back I for one see a much bigger and complex picture that is actually quite simple once you get to know it... I just play the game because its the only one in town at the moment. Some get what I'm saying and some wont but you can all... suck it. :D - Col. Angus

Notice how the economy took a jump right after the sequester/reduced spending went into effect? That's just a sample of how propserous we could all be if we didn't have the huge national debt and high taxes.

no communism as a system means corpses, torture, forced labor, masss executions and mass starvation and misery for all except the elite.

Yes "working for oneself" is good because in doing so you are working for others as well.

You can also choose in a free system to work for your fellow man in any way you see fit.

In communism and socialism there are no choices.
