Re: Empathy, Integrity, and Transparency
OP, what a nice and concise thought. Just yesterday, my 16 year old was pontificating that until we reach a state like this, we'll likely never have those massive starships and intra-galactic travel that he dreams will come to fruition one day. He said that so long as each nation is achieving their own goals instead of working together, we will stagnate.

Although I agree, I smelled NWO all over this (haha), so we had a little conversation about unified governments, too :)
 Quoting: Fret Wiz

I agree with your 16 year old. thumbs

A global community, I think, will be eventually needed. Not sure about all the NWO stuff. Some of it I resonate with, and some of it, not-so-much. This OWO surely is not working.

Re: Empathy, Integrity, and Transparency
Could not endorse the sentiments here highly.

The comments about the generations it will/ might take are just excuses.

The real answer is to stand up NOW, get your hands dirty and do whatever you can be, most importantly, become the leaders that the rest will follow, and then support those choices will passion and concrete commitment.

The current set have led by their rotton example, and waiting to find out which way the fork in the road will take humanity in a few generations is only an excuse for appathy.

Get together, sponsor your natural leaders, promote them.

Right now you all have never had it better with the variety of instant communication that the old school dont understand and cant (yet!) control to find a new and more modern and responsive way to act, and succeed like never before.

But you have to realize that this is painful and there is no instant gratification.

The old ways will be fought for, but the new ways when applied with expertise and creativity can never be matched when conviction and genuine belief and determination are applied with more modern and more effective tools.

This is how all dominant powers become dominant powers!!

Stop making excuses and act.

It is that simple.

So, my rant now, but just for the record Im a baby boomer that everyone loves to hate, perhaps you dont know all the story, we've been victims of those tyrants too, it more, that our generation learnt to just grin and bear it, unlike the leaders of the new world...see first paragraph.

Good luck.

Re: Empathy, Integrity, and Transparency
A most excellent post Sep.

We have been conditioned for multiple generations to Align, Resist and Judge.

We have politics, religion, commerce, education and sports to divert and capture our attention and control us.

Any alignment subsequently produces resistance. Judgement is present as the "scale" by which we measure the world around us.

Choice has been limited to the extent that nearly all choices place us in a conditioned response loop...align, resist, judge.

The lens of perception is a filter that is one our greatest weaknesses as well as our greatest strength.

You are correct that our world would be a much better place if we would practice empathy, integrity and transparency.

There is a shift occuring,...I do however think it will be a bumpy ride.

Thanks for starting off my day with hope.

If you can't rant here, where can you rant? I feel ya, OP.

I like the 3 words you chose in your "what if" scenario. It's ok to dream; in fact, it's necessary. We have to think it before it can manifest through conscious action.

Great thread. 5*s

It took a long time to figure out what could do it, in as far as change the human race, to create a system with the most minimal of words that would change everything to the betterment of mankind, all-inclusive.

I was finally able to boil it all down to 3 words that would embody everything we would need to become that type of species where everything we did would be for the advancement of mankind in our technologies, spiritual states, and "Love they neighbor". I couldn't find a way to boil it down any more than these three words.

"Integrity" would encompass all and you'd have just one word...

Thanks for the input.

But, I can see transparency being needed with Integrity. Some may have the best intentions at heart, but may think that for your own good, you should not be presented with certain information. In other words, though they have integrity, they may still feel the need to 'hide' things from the populace under the guise of "it is for your own good."

This is why I think transparency needs to be inclusive.

Empathy is a no brainer.

Well, you know, I agree with that as well, but just wanted to ensure that he's aware of the dangers and pitfalls of a true one world government, given the history that our "leaders" have of usurping the masses and abusing their power. I tried my best to leave out opinions & only educate on what HAS happened. We definitely need a new "way", so to speak, but it's a slippery slope to enact such a massive change in ideology.

Another great post, SM! hf

I appreciate the rant.. and sometimes feel the frustration you feel..
I'm partial to a philosophy of balance.
Yin, yang.. as it were.

For every good there is an evil and vice versa..
It seems that we are out of balance, with evil prevailing.

Is it really so... or is it that we are reminded daily, in the news and other pop media, that the world is a dark place?
While the good that is there in the world gets overlooked..

I'd rather believe that the light will overwhelm the darkness
in the long run..
This may not be truth for all.. but it is for me.
Above all, it is the struggle of a man against the darkness which defines him.. not his weakness in the face of it.

Your struggle shows your character.

Imagine one full generation that lived, loved, and worked with these three principles being the foundation of our worldview. Imagine what could be accomplished. In one generation we would take leaps within what it is to be a human far greater than any other generation.

As it is now, it is as if we build things up just to tear them back down. We take two steps forward, one step back, constantly wasting the gift of life, of sentient life!, just so we can knock ourselves down and try to get up.

But, with these three principles, everything conceived of, imagined, constructed by us would be for the betterment of mankind as a whole. No more would our world be based on greed and personal gratification. An entire species working towards evolving the entire species. Never before remembered in our history has such a thing existed.

In just one generation, we would/could change the human condition permanently. I don't mean this as all fluffy, lovey-dovey stuff. I look at this as an advancement of the human race. The technological advances, the psychological advances, spiritual advances, etc.

Don't mind me, just dreaming aloud.

Re: Empathy, Integrity, and Transparency
The reason for my post of this is because of my post on another thread last night. I was pretty angry at everything, so you'll have to excuse the F Bombs. If that offends you, then don't read it.

I swear to fucking god, how does someone deal with all this shit?

Aether, I apologize for ranting on your thread, but I don't know what or where to do/go to rant about this stuff.

Ah, fuck it. Nothing's helped and nothing will help. It would just be nice to have some modicum of understanding as to why people behave the way they do. Why they choose to forget what fucking scares them. Why the hell secrets make it ok to lie, ok to remain silent with knowledge. The damned 'ends justify the means' fucking BS. On and on.

It shouldn't be "Careful what you wish for." It should be, "Careful what you don't wish for." Everything is so backasswards, it is amazing.

Fuck cliches. Fuck the ones that think they are awake, yet are beholden to their beliefs and biases, too fucking much of pansies to go experience and find out the truth themselves.

I am so angry right now. Fucking religions and sciences and capitalism and communism and fascism and tyrannies and oligarchies and all the fucking -isms.

God help us. It has saturated us all and has become a component of our souls. There is no magic revelation. There is no magic epiphany. There is no magic discovery. No freedom. No spiritual contentment. No future utopia. No future solution.

It is just us, and the assholes we are and will continue to be. Machinations. Usury. Politics. Corruption. That is power, and will continue to be. No catalyst, no change in philosophies, no magical mass spiritual awakening.

That is the truth of the human condition and truth is scalar. I'm so tired of people not seeing. And more tired of coddling just for usage of the one being coddled.

Please ignore this and thank you for letting me rant.

I didnt read but changing culture would have a great impact,
but the core fluctuates only as it see fits, so it would be
brainwashing, deceiving what humans are made for,
selfish desires, hate and war.
Even empathy and understunding is in our genes.
Besides in an agressive world theres no space for this

OP:

I can completely empathise with your plea: I am currently undergoing steady psychoanalysis to deal with the very issues you discuss. I too, am disgusted with society at large and pine for a more utopian world where people act upon their innate goodness instead of the avariciousness generational programming has replced it with.

So far, therapy hasn't helped much. Firstly: I refuse to use drugs just to "cope." That's not an answer - just another control mechanism and there are far too many of those extant in the world today.

No: I'll continue my more Holistic approach and try to adjust my own [more aware] psyche to accept the lower vibrations of those all around me.

Hope this helps, and remember: there are many of those "out there" who feel the exact same pain as you.

Re: Empathy, Integrity, and Transparency
Thank you for this inspiring post. Don't feel bad about the other rant; it's a side-effect of your awareness. I find myself with the same struggle to balance the thirst for knowledge with the emotional response to what I see. First disbelief, then incredulity, then anger, frustration, fear, hopelessness, what-do-I-do, why can't others see this, etc.

Like the "I'm tired rant" in another thread, others are feeling this way too. The comments after articles on virtually any site are something like I've never seen before. This awakening is painful, but it represents the growing pains of our collective consciousness expanding. It is happening, not as fast as we want, but it is happening. Just look back to a few years ago of what the cyber-zeitgeist was then and see how far we've come.

The painful emotions of this knowledge tend to lead one to quest for even more information, to find the "truth", to define what is "right" when so much is obviously so wrong. That can lead to a vicious circle of emotional negativity. It is very difficult to keep up the positive in light of this info, when you're so damn mad and all you want is to find something that makes you say "That's it! That's the answer!"

The actual answer is not to be found anywhere else but within. That makes it really hard to share with others. "I can only show you the door."

My response is to retool my life to need the fewest amount of slave-dollars to exist as possible. Convert to a non-monetary (or at least minimized) existence. If I can't fight the beast then maybe I can make it irrelevant. I have acquired livestock, milk goats twice a day, raise chickens and created a personal aquaponics system to have real food. Can't survive without food, can't escape the "the" without food (Good Food).

A dash of hope is that in these realms, there is a true Agricultural Renaissance going on, right now, and it ain't from a multinational corporatocracy; it's from people acting individually and sharing information in a manner that was not possible before. Small acts can make big changes. It is absolutely necessary for our continued existence. Combine solar-powered LED lights, some fish and a grow bed and you have a free-energy machine that makes food. My grocery store bill is smaller than ever, I have better food than can be found in any store, and I am healthier than I have ever been in my life. I can't do it all yet, but I partner with neighbors who do complementary things and we all benefit. Harnessing Nature is the key to escaping this matrix that has entrapped our collective minds.

Thank you for your thoughts and for entertaining mine. I do appreciate your writings.
