Can outrun a quarter horse for a short distance.

OH JESUS A black bear.. around 250-300 lbs. doesn't seem like much compared to a grizz or polar bear.. 1200+lbs. Has the same kind of teeth and claws.. just smaller. Brute animal strength to go with it. Teeth, bone and claws. A not so smart buddy of mine thought it would be a gas to jump on a deer's back one day while bowhunting from a tree. A small doe.. 60 lbs. or so came under his stand and he tried to ride her. He told me he knew as soon as he hit her back and felt her stiffen and bow up.... big mistake. She like to have killed him with her hooves before he finally got away from her.
