I'm kinda with ya on this one. But, I do think people like to be a part of the in crowd. It gains its own momentum...true or not. You have no idea what goes on behind closed doors in high places. People elevate themselves above others to prove to themselves that they are "special" or "chosen". That is how they sleep at night with billions in their bank accounts while the rest of the world dies.

Weishaupt was born of Westphalian parents at Ingolstadt (Bavaria), on 6 February, 1748, and lost his father in 1753. Although educated at a Jesuit school, he fell early under the influence of his free-thinking godfather, the director of the high-school of Ickstatt, to whom he owed his appointment as professor of civil law at the University of Ingolstadt in 1772. He was the first layman to occupy the chair of canon law at this university (1773), but, in consequence of the growing rationalistic influence which he exerted over the students both in his academic capacity and in his personal intercourse with them, he came into ever sharper collision with the loyal adherents of the Church and with those who were influential in government circles. As, furthermore, his obstinate nature led him to quarrel with almost everyone with whom his intercourse was at all prolonged, he felt the need of a powerful secret organization to support him in the conflict with his adversaries and in the execution of his rationalistic schemes along ecclesiastical and political lines. At first (1774) he aimed at an arrangement with the Freemasons. Closer inquiry, however, destroyed his high estimate of this organization, and he resolved to found a new society which, surrounded with the greatest possible secrecy, would enable him most effectually to realize his aims and could at all times be precisely adapted to the needs of the age and local conditions.

Re: No such thing as ILLUMINATI. Prove me wrong.
And before you say any bullshit.

New Advent is an explicitly copyrighted online version of the 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia.

In 1993, Kevin Knight, then a 26-year-old resident of Denver, Colorado, was inspired, during the visit of Pope John Paul II to that city for World Youth Day, to launch a project to publish the 1913 edition of the encyclopedia on the Internet. Knight founded the website New Advent to house the undertaking. Volunteers from the United States, Canada, France and Brazil helped in the transcription of the original material. The site went online in 1995 and transcription efforts stopped in 1997.[1]

It contains versions of documents and links to Catholic doctrines and apologetics. It also includes a list of the topmost Catholic websites that receive the most web traffic and a blog that focuses on major issues in the Catholic Church.

She's paying her gravy. So they say...

You used the Dangerfield pic, do you consider it were by chance he is doing 666 with an owl or hooting gesture?

You're confusing different subjects and 'they' like that. 'They' who ever that could collectively be, hide behind banners and always change costumes. It is a system of ruling and fooling.

It's been here for a very long time, wars are fought over who sits on a throne, even to this day.

If you wanna be a collective hive mind follower, by all means - do so.

The illuminati is just a coined phrase because of the extreme secrecy Weishaupt attempted to create.

I think it's just one of those buzz words that has been created to scare those who are mystically influenced. All of the symbolism and occult crap makes people believe that this "group" has some type of supernatural powers to subdue them with. The Texas fat man uses this tactic constantly to drill this crap into his listener's heads as he claims to "wake them up", while at the same time mesmerizing them with the Illuminati crap.

The Illuminati are the highest ranking members of freemasonry, a secret fraternity that I challenge the OP to claim any knowledge of. Freemasons believe that there is some truth to all religions, and that humans created God, not the other way around. Freemasons keep secret knowledge that they reveal only to their members as they move up to higher degrees. There are currently over 2 million freemasons in America, or about 1.5% of the male population. The Illuminati are among, if not the most wealthy, powerful, and influential people on Earth. They advance their agenda to create a One world government, currency, and religion through manipulation of politics, the media, monetary systems, wars, movies, the music industry, etc. The increasing globalization of our time is orchestrated by the illuminati. Some of their more well known lobbying groups include Bohemian Grove, Bilderberg, the IMF, the Trilateral Commission, etc. Their main symbol is the 13 level pyramid capped by the all-seeing eye of Lucifer, the prince of Earthly power who the illuminati sell their souls to for power and riches. Another main symbol of the Illuminati is the two pillars from the temple of Solomon, as their ultimate goal is to establish a single leader who will rule the New World Order from the third temple in Jerusalem modeled after Solomon's temple. Many will worship him, many will call him the antichrist, and it will require chaos and destruction for the world to allow such a system to be put in place. That's if their plan, which is not a perfectly kept secret, succeeds. Known Illuminati families include the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Windsors, Astors, DuPonts, etc.

Re: No such thing as ILLUMINATI. Prove me wrong.
george washington wrote about them OP. his letter is posted online on the library of congress's website.

is he wrong or are you?

that's right

“It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am. The idea that I meant to convey, was, that I did not believe that the Lodges of Free Masons in this Country had, as Societies, endeavoured to propagate the diabolical tenets of the first, or pernicious principles of the latter (if they are susceptible of seperation). That Individuals of them may have done it, or that the founder, or instrument employed to found, the Democratic Societies in the United States, may have had these objects; and actually had a seperation of the People from their Government in view, is too evident to be questioned.” (George Washington

most people leave off most of the quote though

you'll notice he goes on to say (1) not all freemasons are involved in the illuminati (2) that he is a member of the illuminati (3) that the "democratic societies" opposed the illuminati (thomas jefferson types) (4) and that the jeffersonians had a "separation of the people from their government" as a goal

no surprise, the aaron burr network of british intelligence was involved in the assassination of washington, subversion of the domestic military and economy prior to war of 1812, attack on the soundness of the dollar via burr's patsy andrew jackson, and continues to dominate the shadows of the CIA to this day

george was right
