Drunk woman crashes into graveyard where boyfriend is buried
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The girlfriend of a slain mob-connected restaurateur has racked up her third drunken driving arrest in the five years since his death, this time crashing her car in the same cemetery where he's entombed, according to authorities.

Kelly V. Catapano, 35, of the 600 block of Annadale Road in Annadale, is being held on $5,000 bail after Sunday night's episode at Moravian Cemetery in New Dorp.

According to police, she had three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system when she drove over a grave at Moravian at about 7:45 p.m., getting her 2001 Chrysler Sebring stuck in the process.

Ms. Catapano was the girlfriend of restaurateur Frank Fresca, 66, who was shot to death on the grounds of his Tottenville restaurant, Fresca's on the Bay, in July 2008.

Fresca is entombed at Moravian, though it's unclear if she was visiting his crypt. A law enforcement source said the tire of her car was hanging over a freshly-dug, empty grave.

Fresca's killing remains unsolved. On July 30, 2008, he was found dead on the grounds of his Ellis Street restaurant, shot nine times. The restaurant had "operated under the protection of the Bonanno family, and (jailed Bonanno soldier Gino) Galestro and his crew were responsible for responding to threats from customers and rival Mafioso," according to court papers.

Federal documents later revealed that Fresca had been "openly assisting the FBI in its search of the waters surrounding the marina attached to Fresca's restaurant," allowing them on his property to fish out a pole used to incinerate the dismembered body of a 2005 mob murder victim.
