We definitely have a creator.

We need "it" more than it needs us.

Have you noticed how self destructive, stupid, foolish, arrogant, and unaware humanity is? I used to be proud of humanity.

Now I'm not. Look at Easter Islands lack of trees. That is what humanity does. If it ever abandoned us we wouldn't last long.

Divine intervention keeps us going.

I used to think just like him. I was an atheist.

I worshipped technology because it was supposed to be my immortality.

Also, I bashed the God I used to believe in and tried turning people away from their faith.

It turns out he only puts up with that so much. The retribution wasn't pretty. I'm still in denial lol

After seeing and dependin experiencing the supernatural and the spirit I'm absolutely certain the big guy is always there.

One day he's going to send a wake up call OPs way. One day he's sending the wake up call to the whole world lmao

When the earth melts like wax and the sky rolls back in flames he should have everyone's undivided attention.

Yep, masters and believers of BS... why would they? Religion is a mental crutch for a better after life and condition. Humans become immortal, through technology, become more logical, life is great, we live forever, we basically have everything that your pathetic "god" in the OT stole from humans. So who needs him? It was all a great story and money maker while it lasted...

Immortality != godhood.
God exists outside of time; therefore god would be eternal, not immortal. Angels are a good example of being immortal at least in Judeo Christian Nomenclature.

Be careful what you wish for.

Revelation 9:4-6

King James Version (KJV)

"And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads."

"And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man."

"And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them."

Re: If humans become immortal within the next 80 years, why do we need "god"
We cannot "become" immortal since we, the soul or spirit, is already immortal and an indestructible energy. Yes, the body can change so that it does not break down over time. But the body is just like the car a person drives in the respect that the body is the vehicle of the soul to enable it to get around in this physical density. We have come forth from the Creator and ultimately will return and merge with the
Creator...and any thought of independence from "God" or the Creative Force is an illusion, prideful and full of arrogant thinking.

Even if you can live forever in your physical body, you will at some point become bored with it or just decide to move on from that physical experience so you can gain other experiences for the evolvement of the soul.

Yes, I get that you feel that way...but you're just plain wrong about "religion" disappearing if we become immortal.

I agree about the technology being close, you are right about that. But if it's close, and more people on this planet right now believe in a god than don't believe, there will be more immortal believers than non believers.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you will have an immortal life with believers.
