Jehovahs Witnesses and Child Abuse

I myself was a victim of Jehovahs Witnesses child abuse.
I was abused for 2 years by a Ministeriel Servant
I reported it and nothing was done.


I hate being rude or men, but I say FUCK them.

I have seen this over and over again in multiple congregations

I am greatly saddened to hear of the inhumane acts you suffered by monsters.

I am afraid that Florida MAYBE allowing, enabling, such enterprises to get away with similar acts at the hands of many similar institutions as well as the one you mentioned.

I am aware of the rampant spread of this among many institutions....
the problem is that NOTHING is being done....as a matter of fact the only thing being done is been to KEEP IT QUIET.

MY OWN FATHER did this to my half sister for YEARS
simply because he KNEW HE COULD GET AWAY WITH IT.

I am a MALE and when I was 16 it happened to me as well by a GAY man in the congregation....


He was GAY and HID this fact from the JWs.

Sexual predatory acts and PEOPLE with this sort of perversion are EVERYWHERE in that GROUP because they KNOW they can get away with it.

which stated settlements would be paid but ONLY if they signed a "confidentiality clause" and promised to keep it QUIET.

Frederick McLean is a Jehovah's Witness on the FBI's most wanted list. He used his position in the church to molest children for at least 25 years.

He's a vintage race car expert who left behind a truck to be sold by his family and a treasure map with directions to a stash of money. He's an experienced camper and may possibly still be working in the automotive field.

McLean fled with at least $100,000 in cash, possibly in a small, dark-colored pickup truck, and may have changed his name and appearance.

He's been on the run since Sept. 2004 and is the "most wanted child predator in the U.S. right now" according to Deputy U.S. Marshal Steve Jurman. A 25,000 reward is offered for information leading to his capture.

He could be anywhere but investigators believe McLean is in northern San Diego County or the southern Riverside area.

Rumors indicate he could be in Oregon, and could be sheltered by some who are acquainted with him. Authorities believe he is most likely still molesting children and seeking new victims.

The Jehovah's Witnesses recently agreed to pay to settle that lawsuit and eight other similar cases, without admitting wrongdoing. The cases all involved men the church allegedly knew had sexually abused children. The settlements for those cases are confidential and filed under seal. Frederick McLean

However, NBC News has obtained a copy of one of the settlements from the McLean lawsuit, and it may offer an indication of the potential magnitude of the payouts. According to the court record, the church agreed to pay $781,250 to the accuser, who claimed McLean abused her from age 3 to age 9. McLean is white, weighs in at 170 pounds, measures 5 feet, 11 inches, and has hazel eyes and graying brown. He is an auto mechanic and once restored race cars from the 1960s and '70s. McLean is also an experienced outdoorsman who might be spotted at camping areas.He's believed to be armed and dangerous.

Their son tried to molest me when I was 5.
They were all just mean. Different.

The things they worship require the energetic explosion of sexual abuse, sorry this happened to you.

You should step forward and tell the police, refuse any out of court settlement and be the one who finally gets this the attention it requires.

My husband's young teenaged niece was knocked up by a high ranking member of that organization. Did the Mom go to the police? No! Instead the baby is considered "special" because of this married-with-children bastard's ranking in the church. Unbelievable.

What can the police do in any sexual abuse case without proof? That is the problem. It is one person's story against another one. Child abusers are so slick they get away with it in all venues.

Sorry, OP, what happened to you. It is horrible. I hope you are able to recover. I just don't see it as the religion that is to blame but the person who did it to you and the problem of trying to prove what happened. Sometimes it is almost impossible.

Abuse was in my family. No one wants to believe it happens especially when they have no proof of it. It takes a long time to recover. The only thing to do is to stay away from the abuser and to protect any children you have from *all* adults because they are all potential abusers. You just never know. Abusers look normal most of the time.

That is what should be done. Again, the burden is on the abused to show proof of what happened. It is very difficult to do that unless there are a lot who step forward to accuse the person. Even then proof is needed. They are everywhere and know how to hide but they do slip up and get caught thankfully. The death penalty is what should happen to them(or at least life in prison) because you can't reform them. But the law lets them loose again.

A bullet would cure them permanently.

Get a good lawyer...ask him what police to contact. Sue the guy...the congregation!

Yup. If they are guilty and there is proof then yes they should be killed or life in prison no parole. You can't reform them. The government just lets them back on the street though. That is who we should really be blaming.

And people should teach their kids about abusers very young to empower them. Again, to make sure they aren't abused don't even leave them alone with relatives or close friends. That means someone stays home with them(no babysitters) at all times and even watches the other parent like a hawk. You just never know. I got all my kids to adult hood with no abuse thankfully because I wasn't taking any chances. They are happy and well adjusted and empowered. But if you can't do this sometimes the worse does happen. Evil is everywhere.

That is why it is up to parents to protect their kids. That is the first line of defense. If a parent lets their guard down anywhere then abuse can happen.
