Myself, I pan for free gold in a nearby creek and do ok from time to time. Silver will head to $7 oz by fall. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41860308 Where do you find Gold in NV in creek? You find silver there? Prescott Az is rich in gold but its not easy to find! I pan in Cali and Oregon when we vacation at Gold Beach. Trinity County, Ca is great for panning, so is the Grass Valley area. I will not remark on the location of my local creek, though it is fun to pan and bbq with my child, catch a trout or two. |

Saddletramp User ID: 736969 Puerto Rico 06/21/2013 12:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm still calling for gold to test $1000 per oz by the end of July, and Silver to test $16.00... Quoting: Saddletramp But once Basel III is implemented bond yields will go parabolic, if this happens it will be a moon shot for gold and silver!!! Also, keep in mind Silver, with the premium spread, is still selling for $20 to $25 per oz, depending on the product, and American Gold Eagles are still trading upwards of $1350 on eBay...though I wouldn't buy anything on eBay... I bought some on ebay a few weeks ago, and I over paid. Where do you suggest I order some today? I use to buy local, but the shops all started raising their premium. I started buying from apmex.com Been satisfied. I like apmex, the main reason I like to have a local dealer is for the sell side. Last time silver went to $48 per oz, it only stayed there for one day... My sources tell me that one man plans to own ALL the world's gold supply and will do it using the US government's nuclear submarines to crash the market, then drive the price of gold up to $54,000,000 an oz. It's easy to be a Metal-Tard. |

Akin to what happened in the USSR and Argentina... In any case, the dollar will be destroyed, just like Turbo Timmy and Helicopter Ben promised... You got it! What you folks don't seem to understand is that the US dollar has been crawling along the bottom of it's lowest point in history. Now, is the time for it to go back up. We have already HAD our hyperinflation. In terms of Western, first-world money, we are at 5:1 inflation over the last 15 years, which is absurd - and that's only straight book inflation. If you count the derivative inflation, it's like 5000:1 The world won't tolerate more than that. You have to look at the inflation factor as a composite of all commodities, equities, real estate, US bonds in circulation etc. These markets don't all fluctuate in concert. The power behind money keeps them shuffling so it looks organic. But, it's anything but organic. |

We had to sell our silver last year to meet a financial emergency. Now that it is going down I am too broke to buy back in!!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42045791 I wanna scream. I want some silver!!! Oh and to the poster who thinks it will fall to $7 in the fall....you obviously do not know the silver market. Silver NEVER goes down in the fall. It always goes up. It may only be a small upward trend some years, but it had never gone down in the fall. I came VERY close to stacking up. In the end, I realized I didn't have the stomach for it. Hang in there man, and God Bless. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 8397139 United States 06/21/2013 02:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I shit silver. Tons of it. You can have all it for..uhm.. let's say a piece of toilet paper. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1195264 worth its weight in gold when shtf. I'm not completely sure I agree with this. The problem with silver (or, you know, insert PM here) is that the average Joe can't really relate to it. So, okay, TSHTF. Now, take your silver and go buy bread with it. Where do you go with it? Who is selling the bread and where did they get it? Who gives you their bread for a shiny coin? Now, a dollar SHTF scenario with limited real-life collateral impact... I'm not sure that's viable. But in that case I could see trading in your stack for a trusted liquid currency. You'd need good timing. And, think about it, what would you trust at that point? Hell, I'd be so damned scared I'd probably vomit at any currency. Wouldn't you just keep your PM in the closet still? I dunno... |
