basically, yes:

since "light" travels instantaneously from one side of
the Universe to the other, that means "there is no *Time*",
there is no "extension in Time or Space", which ultimately
means that the Universe is still the very same "mere Mathematical Point" that it was at the Big Bang, further meaning that: The Big Bang never really happened at all

They like to imagine their theories predict outcomes. When something anomalous appears, they prefer to stretch the theory to accommodate the anomaly rather than trash the theory. It makes sense, since science is built upon the shoulders of previous discoverers and would be foolish to abandon past knowledge simply because there is bump in the road.
